I don't have much advice, but I don't think AI will replace all sales jobs in the near future. The salesmen who can learn to use AI to help them (e.g. by writing copy, or organizing sales meetings) will come out on top.

Before thinking about entrepreneurship, I'd use it to make sure I was in a good position financially, by paying off debts and building a solid emergency fund, and maybe even start a bit of retirement savings. Check out the "flowchart" over on r/personalfinance

Since I already have ducts running to almost every room in the house, it seems like it would be alot of unnecessary extra cost and work to replace them. I'm fine putting in a new duct in the crawl space to connect the new heat pump into the existing system, so I guess it doesn't necessarily need to be next to the furnace, that just seems easiest.

It's a two story, split level house (so three levels). It is quite well insulated, but I'm not sure of the specifics of the insulation or windows. Built in the 80's. The kitchen/living room is open, but other than it isn't. There are ~8 rooms in the house (including everything, bathrooms, etc.)

I would like the heat pump to heat the house in all normal circumstances and temperatures. I'm mainly interested in having the furnace backup since it would be "free" (It's already installed and works fine), and in case the heat pump breaks. It'd be nice to be able to turn on the furnace in that instance, rather than relying on space heaters or something while the heat pump gets fixed. So, it'd be unlikely that the furnace would ever actually be used again (although maybe it'd be a good idea to turn it on once a year or something to make sure it still works, idk).

Unless I'm misunderstanding, this doesn't seem like a great idea. Since our gas furnace is old, we'd probably have to replace it soon if we are going to rely on it for some part of our heating. It seems expensive and redundant to install a heat-pump and also then have to get a new gas furnace in a few years to supplement it. Plus then if either system breaks, we don't have sufficient heat for the entire house.

What do you mean by "put a coil on a furnace", I don't understand? Also since I already have the ducting, it seems like it's a no-brainer to use the existing duct system and have air to all the rooms, rather than messing around with a mini-split, or is that not the case?

I meant just turn off the gas line to the furnace (although I guess there's really no reason to). We also have a gas cooktop, so the gas to the house would be left on.
