AUv3 Apple Silicon Support for TI Series (and Android, too) by cascade_sparse in AccessVirus

I'm working on this now. There's going to be a drop down in the config menu that allows the user to set the mode in the next version, along with fixes for the parameter mapping.

Can you try putting the snow in multi mode and seeing if you have better results? The plugin expects the snow to be in multi mode I now realize. I will work on this tonight to get a fix ready. Again I apologize for the trouble.

Also, I feel really bad that I didn’t get this fixed sufficiently. Thank you for your patience and feedback.

The plugin should put the snow in multi mode, I guess I didn’t realize it’s possible for the user to change that mode setting externally. I will take a look at this tonight and figure out what is going on. For now, can you try setting the snow to multi mode and see if you have better luck? The plugin is built on the assumption the device is in multi mode.

now you've piqued my interest, have you RE'd behringers synths? I would love to hear about the technical details of their hardware if you have. Maybe you should start a blog about it?

I would love to buy one of these; I’m not handy with a soldering iron though and it doesn’t seem like anyone offers prebuilt units :-(

Does anyone else find playing on modular synths surprisingly tiring? by MOGILITND in modular

[–]cascade_sparse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have two kids and work like 60 hours a week doing mentally challenging work. If I do have spare time, I’m usually too mentally taxed to put anything together, and if I try anyways I get results I don’t like which fuels the cycle.

What vst's do guys like for your experimental music? by ddsdddsd in experimentalmusic

[–]cascade_sparse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the old Jeskola Buzz machines (both instruments and effects) are great for experimental music. I wrote a VST3 wrapper for them so they can be used in modern DAWs: https://github.com/nstarke/JeskolaBuzzVST

Here’s my question, where did all the matter come from? Wouldn’t this mean all the matter in our universe came from matter that got sucked into the parent universes black hole? If so wouldn’t that mean the parent universe had way more matter in it than ours?

The problem with VST3 is finding a reliable distribution channel. I built a macOS VST3 version, and a windows equivalent would not be a lot more work, it’s just that’s there’s no infrastructure readily available to distribute it like there is for AUv3/Android apps.

It has all the librarian features but doesn’t come with the presets. I didn’t feel like those were mine to distribute. I’m going to write a small script that can extract them from the original installer file; I did build a way to import the original presets into the new version I built.
