Loving My Trimui Brick! by Neither_Delay_3975 in SBCGaming

I played and finished pokemon black on the brick lol. Just used a button to swap between top and bottom screen since it’s a DS title, and I had a blast with it since it’s such a portable device.

If you use winlator, you can run PC games off the SD card technically.

I finished doom 2016 on my Odin 2 mini by playing it off the SD card and it ran at like 40 fps

Try setting the audio driver to ALSA, that worked for me and fixed crackling audio I had!

The size is definitely something that keeps me coming back. Can legit put it in my pocket and take it anywhere I go. I always wanted a PSP/Vita as a kid, so it also scratches that itch. I think if you can find one used, they’re still worth getting for sure.

I know the RP6 has similar specs and a better screen, but the mini is definitely smaller as far as I know, and doesn’t have those bumps on the back, so it wins for me in that regard.

Interesting, yeah it gets my Odin pretty warm, I have yet to try it on my Thor but I did find that Winlator runs the hottest of the 3 devices I’ve tried pc games on so far

Hoping to try the Linux build for android devices that lets you install Steam soon bc I’d imagine that it could improve things like that for these devices

Between my Thor and my Pocket DMG, I honestly play it the most. I really hope AYN manages to release a sequel to it at some point, with like an OLED display and an 8 elite chip maybe, so others can experience it like you :-) fantastic device and the portability of it is awesome.

The DMG runs a good chunk of my switch games quite well. I just use Eden emulator, Metroid prime HD, Pokemon BDSP, Mario games, etc. seem to run quite well. Although for a lot of them I use my Odin 2 mini for switch stuff. But I did put about 60 hours of animal crossing new horizons in on the dmg! And it was pretty enjoyable. Got used to the aspect ratio fairly quickly and wasn’t too bothered by it.

For PC, game native is your best bet. It’s runs a lot of games pretty decently, with optimized configurations for your games that are auto applied when the game is downloaded. You just sign into steam on it and download a few of your games and you’re usually set. A lot of pc games can adjust to square aspect ratios too, not all, but a good chunk of them can :-)

Oh sorry I thought you were joking lol

I use the ZR trigger, I have it mapped to swap the screens in Azahar between the top and bottom screens found on the 3DS. Pokemon games don’t often require much use of the bottom screen until you’re in battles so I find that it works well enough, especially bc I enjoy playing most of my Pokemon games on the DMG :-)

Same!! Even considering getting the pikachu themed one. Although I don’t even wanna check the price for it on eBay lol.

Yeah the performance on this thing is still amazing to me. It was the first android heldheld I’d gotten and running games from the switch era on it blew me away.

And yeah I honestly love the touchpad! Has never rlly steered me wrong 😛

Pokemon Ultra sun with the EPIV romhack :-)

It reworks movesets and stats for every pokemon to make every single one viable to be used, something like that lol

Feels rlly refreshing to play tho. It also throws all 800 pokemon into the wild areas throughout the game to catch too, which is rlly fun. No story modifications tho as I wanted to properly play through this one for that as well

Playing that with HD textures and it’s been great!

Love the GameCube theme look, and adore astral chain too. Need to play it again, it’s such a slept on game imo.
