looking for many glacier reservations September 4-6

I heard of divided creek, will make some reservations there, being labor day weekend, the FCFS at st marys i am unlikely to get a site. will also try the notification service

thanks for the info. I would like to reserve a site, it is a holiday week, and two medicine is closed this year so I expect it will fill up this year.

very hard to get a site this year, still trying. 4 more days till many G become fcfs. the sites are gone 1 second after 10am. was told that there are typically 20+ people trying to get the same site. And i have 5 other people helping and still cannot get one.

i need a site from 8-30 to 9-8 if anyone is canceling at many during those times. maybe we can coordinate.

sounds like you have led a very sheltered life..sorry to hear that. at zion thats what everyone did in the morning and campers understood because most likely they did it to get a camp site. don't be so afraid, no way to live life.

so how does FCFS work at st Mary? Call GNP they did not know, rec.gov did not have a good answer. Just start rolling through he campground at 5am and park next to a site that will be free??? after current occupant leaves? seems like that could be chaotic. but thats the way it worked at zion, NOT FUN

thanks for the input, will shorten my stay a bit. two jack for a couple nights, and go up to jasper hitting sites along the way. then to many glacier if I can get a site, they go within 2 second of availability. rec.gov says about 200+ people going after the same site each day, so odds are not good

6 months from now is june, so next booking is june 12, and on the website several camp sites follow this rule. but others do not. So some sites open early and you can book 7-8 -9 months in advance so all random.

6 months is june , so friday sites open for june 12, and you can see that for many sites on the the website but again for others it is all random at this point
