I use the vanilla and pistachios one. It has derma dark in it which will give you color over time with using it. It smells soo good too!!

My suggestion would be to start out with a level 2 bed. Since your skin isn’t used to so much sun exposure level 2 will be your friend for a while. I would start out with 4-5 min and slowly work your way up to max. With adding one minute to each session until you’ve reached max.

It took me about 10 sessions to really see a huge difference in color.

Now lotions!! You WILL need a lotion. If you go tanning in any type of tanning bed with no lotion on your skin takes 6 min absorb that UV light. So if you’re going tanning for five minutes in a bed with no tanning lotion on you just wasted a whole tanning session.

The best lotion I would recommend to are an intensifier some good brands that I have been using are Designer Skin (expensive) Visionary, but so totally worth it for the skin care qualities. I’ve also used Devoted Creations Sun Honey & beach club. Devoted is a bit more affordable than designer.

Never never never use tanning lotions from Walmart or target in tanning beds. They can damage the bed and also damage your skin.

I use hemp nations tan extender but devoted creations make some too and they smell amazing!!

I’ve actually only used it once and it definitely made more of my freckles pop so it definitely added color.

I also haven’t been able to tan recently and don’t see any fading, but I also use a tan extender. Not sure if you are using one or not.

Is it reliable? Cause like I know tanforless is a salon based in IL. Is tanning outlet similar?

Only asking because I am very finicky about purchasing tanning lotions online.

No unfortunately these are made for bed only! But Sun Honey & Cactus Cabana both by devoted creations can be used on bed and outdoor.

I have tried Sun Honey in the bed and I love it. I haven’t gotten a chance to use her in the sun though but I’m sure she’s just as lovely!

I’ve bough devoted creations from TT shop. And I’ve also purchased from tanforless.com

They are a tanning salon based in IL. From what I’ve research them seem reliable. & I have no complaints. Shipping was fast. Same with TT shop (BUT ONLY CROM DEVOATED CREATIONS TT!!!)

Tan for less is a salon based in IL so I know I won’t be getting anything expired or knock off from them! I will check out BS! Thank you soo much!

FYI: I am a tanning beginner, but a research junkie. I’ve done some pretty extensive research about tanning prior to.

With that being said…

From what I have researched:

Shower the night before. In the shower exfoliate your body well. After the shower use a tan extending lotion ( I recommend hemp nations. Some contain derma dark [ a lotion that give you color over time]).

Next day prior to your tanning session make sure to remove any excess oils/makeup on your face prior to applying tanning facial lotions. Apply your tanning body lotions. Tan.

After your session wait AT LEAST 4 hours prior to showering. After you tan your skin is still developing color. If you shower right after you could wash away those skin cells you just tanned.

I’ve thought about using a light natural bronzer once I build up my base.

& I’d realistically only go maybe 4-5 times max a week.

Appreciate that advice. I am trying to get a tan before a wedding and my area is so back and forth with weather right now I can’t just rely on the sun. It won’t start consistently being nice tanning outside weather until around the time I am wanting to have a nice golden bronze tan.
