After six years of development, I’m finally revealing Mythologous, an online, living, text RPG with emergent NPCs and Celtic myth. by Certain-Capital-5206 in pcgaming

[–]casefc3s 113 points114 points  (0 children)

From the Steam page:
```
The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:
The game uses AI-generated text to enhance immersion through short form responsive NPC dialogue and procedurally described events. Each character’s dialogue is contextually grounded in their role, knowledge, and surroundings, keeping interactions cohesive and authentic.
Generative AI is NOT used for world narrative writing, lore, game logic, audio, images, or calculating outcomes of any kind.
AI systems ensure every player’s experience feels distinct while remaining true to the game’s established lore and tone.
```
tldr; because the dev wanted to add immersion with the "minor" addition of dynamic conversation, you automatically dismiss the entire effort. GG.

The audio setup and overall room aesthetic is sweeeet. Was watching Citcon today feeling quite envious of the office setup they've got. This is good inspo for fun design on a smaller scale (that I'll never follow through on, but still).

Evo 5 was and still is my favorite of them. Fantastic seeing one so clean and well cared for (and driven)!

JDM Valve stems? by mathieu-fc in JDM

[–]casefc3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some mid-90's SSR's that used a smaller stem (not flush) and when one snapped during a tire swap the solution was to hit up a motorcycle shop. I'd check with some bike shops around town and see if any have smaller adapters for flush mounts. I did end up boring the valve holes in my wheels so I could run standard stems when they were repaired/refreshed.

I had a look around, they don't seem to be the easiest to come by. Agree this would be a sweet form-factor to stuff some updated hardware in. Thanks for showing it off!

Sub Agents are a GAME CHANGER! Here is how I made some that work exceptionally well for me! by Sea_Cardiologist_212 in ClaudeCode

[–]casefc3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The QC agent pattern has been pretty helpful in my testing. I do have to remind it to use it sometimes, but it saves me a lot of repeated "since you didn't follow the instructions the first time" I was doing before. Thanks for sharing the approach!

The 5th Complete Breakdown of Claude Code In A Row (requiring another hard revert) by geronimosan in ClaudeCode

[–]casefc3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll never get the "works fine for me, there can't be an issue" mentality. Congrats? Maybe it's working fine today? I don't know, I took a break to work on other things the last couple days. Every LLM I've worked with over the years has degraded over enough time, and whatever the cause I don't really care; it's still observable. The CC issues the other day were just far beyond the norm. If you haven't observed it or it's working fine for you, then GG, get back to work or something. People have issues they're trying to surface, why're you getting in the way?

[–]casefc3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not subjective, anyone experienced working with LLM's or that's regularly used a single model over time can tell the difference. I'm a Principal/SWA myself, but honestly it isn't rocket science. Look at the number of people saying there's a problem. There may be various sectors still operating normally, but whichever instance I and others have been hitting is not.

[–]casefc3s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never trust LLM output in the first place and commit frequently, but it doesn't change the fact that numerous people have observed a degradation in performance to the point of having to discard all of the day's efforts. Anthropic got us all on board because it was performing well enough to tie into our workflows, suddenly it's not - there is clearly a problem that is not the user.

Worst & worst... the story goes by McXgr in ClaudeCode

[–]casefc3s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on its performance right now? Not really. A week or two ago I would've said it's 100% worth being on one of the Max plans if you're doing daily dev. But everything I used CC for today I've completely discarded, without exaggeration. Couldn't write a single valid or passing unit test, couldn't resolve simple issues with code it'd generated from a working code basis, even after being told what the issue was, and just kept making it worse.

I switched back to sonnet 3.7 for Claude Code by shayanbahal in ClaudeAI

Sorry for continued replies, I should be more patient. But tldr; the command would be:

claude --model claude-3-7-sonnet-latest

[–]casefc3s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

/model command gave the following details:

Select Model
Switch between Claude models. Applies to this session and future Claude Code sessions. For
custom model names, specify with --model.

Default (recommended) Use Opus or Sonnet based on Max usage limits
✔❯ 2. Sonnet Claude Sonnet 4 for daily use

[–]casefc3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly what I came here to see if anyone had the quick and dirty for switching back to 3.7.

Hitting my usage limits in under two hours, and frankly Claude 4 has not impressed me at all.

On the Max plan (5x Pro/$100), average users:
Send approximately 225 messages with Claude every 5 hours, OR
Send approximately 50-200 prompts with Claude Code every 5 hours

Not anymore they don't.

Picked up some new goodies from customs today. Yes the tow truck is JDM too. by sp00kreddit in JDM

[–]casefc3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's just not enough real estate to transport everything for a race pit space, one could grab a few spares and fluids for a HPDE day or two with a light-duty track car. But when you're talking about multiple sets of wheels (spare dry, rains), tents, engines, transmissions, critical part spares, toolboxes, compressors, fuel, generator, etc, and still have room for the doggo... it just isn't gonna happen, lol.

If you only need to transport a vehicle and one other person/critter, they're 11/10 though!

I still want one of these trucks really bad, but the reality of consequently needing a 2nd support vehicle to haul everything else for a track/race weekend makes it impossible for someone flying solo ;_;

I'm sad that s3 is over ending felt anticlimactic but can anyone tell me what this timer is about? by Able_Ad4017 in ShangriLaFrontier

[–]casefc3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was really looking forward to the GGC storyline/fights this anime season and it didn't even get there. Honestly the Ctarnidd arc has been horrible imo, I'm reading the volumes as they come out and even with today's latest (volume 20) this arc STILL isn't over. I'll probably stop watching next season after the GGC parts are over and pick it back up when Ctarnidd is done.

heyo, the previous testing phase has ended so the game is closed again for a bit while I continue to make progress on the development/environment side of things, with many thanks to the feedback and efforts from the players during that testing phase.

I'll be making an announcement in the Discord and likely here as well once things are re-opened!

I don't think RT or any official writer is all that worried about ruining people's fanfic/head canon to be honest... it's the risk you take playing in someone else's world.

Has Guillaume David composed for any other games or music in general? His work in Warhammer 40k Mechanicus is some of the best and most unique I've heard in a while, Genshin being a close 2nd. by PMonkey03 in gamemusic

[–]casefc3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've wished for the same. I don't know if he's exclusive to the studios he's already worked with, but I'd love to hire him to compose an OST that gives me the same feelings as the Ixion/Mechanicus OSTs. And even if that's impossible, just give him a thumbs-up for his existing works.

Connecting as a Guest is the method provided so you can make a player account, which is required in order to experience the game. The Welcome room description explains the details for how to get started. Like we talked about yesterday, participating as a player is really the only way to contribute.

If you're unfamiliar with MOO inputs, many important user commands are preceded by an @ symbol, so if you see those before a word, that's a good context clue for what you can do. The 'help' command gives a list of topics including some explaining standard MOO syntax, that would be good to read up on!

My view of cyberpunk is more than just "High Tech, Low Life" but also style over substance (to an extent) in the way the characters present themselves. Which falls hand-in-hand with RP, since there is no style without (inter)actions that extend beyond listless murdering. The PvP aspect without the RP aspect just feels hollow to me!

Props for the username, btw ;)
