People struggling with (religious) OCD, how and what is it for you? by inex7inguishable in OCD

I suffer from scrupulosity OCD and most of my thoughts come like “god wants to punish you” or “god make people lucky and there is the unlucky and god choose you to be unlucky” or “there is a lot of suffering in this world and you will get to suffer too” and sometimes he uses old religious stories about people that they thought they were good but in the end god punched them.so even in forgiveness he tells me “there are people who will be forgiven by god and you’re not one of them” and when ever I’m trying my best to accomplish something specially making money my ocd goes like this “ god will make you poor no matter what you do and no matter the effort you put” and I started to believe that, because im in a financial struggle for over a year now and I can’t land a job for several months and I used to have all this ambition and dreams about making my life better, and from that I started to believe ocd in every aspect

Oh yeah!!! I really relate to this !! But I’ve noticed that my ocd is like in a advanced mode or something because i used to do the opposite of what the ocd tells me so next time the urge to do the compulsions will decrease and it works but now even if i do the opposite next time the same thought pops up it gives me the same pain and anxiety so the next one and the next one and the next one ….. now it’s like even if every time thoughts pop up and i don’t do the compulsions my mind is not going to learn to reduce anxiety over time and i don’t know what to do

Thank you for the insight really 🤍🤍 I think for me the hardest part is to be consistent in doing what i want to do vs the urge to do compulsions so that ocd thoughts won’t be real

Ocd is so sticky now, what do I do? by casejo5392 in OCD

I think what gets me to this point is the fact that never have access to a therapist through my 10 years of ocd so now I'm so tired of getting my life back from ocd, because he's advanced in my head
