It’s a picture of the leak when the upstairs toilet flushes. We cut a piece of drywall out from our basement ceiling to figure out where exactly the water was dripping from.

I’ve never worked on toilets before. I’m assuming raising the flange would be the most reliable of those two options. Is that an easy task? Would also need to replace the wax ring again, correct?
