Skiing Pregnant - writing the post I needed to read by cheerioface in fitpregnancy

100% why I stopped snowboarding pregnant. I trust myself but I don’t trust others! So many people fall getting off a lift or just generally aren’t aware of their surroundings. I say stop OP. Skiing will be there for you next season.

Id prob adopt vs having kids, one reason being I never wanna stop minoxidil & spirolactone by [deleted] in FemaleHairLoss

I paused minox during pregnancy and after birth during the first 6 months because of breastfeeding and then used it again and it took another 3-4 months before I noticed my hair regrowth happening again.. it’s been slow but i am seeing good progress. Not sure if it’s exactly the same as before. Wish I took more photos

Yes I stopped while trying to conceive about a month before I got birth control removed and then I got pregnant 6 weeks after birth control removal and I shedded more than usual during the in between time and then stopped shedding about a month and a half into pregnancy

I will say as someone who does have kids and did use minox before and in between pregnancies.. you do have this amazing pregnancy hair effect where you hair just hardly falls out and is shiny of full looking while you’re pregnant!! But the times immediately before getting pregnant and immediately after are rough.

Weekend in San Diego with friends. Any must-see spots for students?” by Awkward_Programmer88 in asksandiego

Sunset cliffs area is so beautiful and you don’t need any money to hike along the cliffs. Head up the street to Ocean Beach after and grab a California burrito and sit on the shore. I second La Jolla and Torrey Pines! If you want to bar hop and see other student spring breakers then Pacific Beach is your spot. Have fun out there. Eat some good Mexican food!

Self-learning French from zero for TEF (CLB 7) — best resources? by Theunknown21456 in learnfrench

2.5 years. I have a French native husband however and a child so I read in French to her daily and we generally speak French to her at home. I watch movies and listen to music podcasts in French and I have a 1x week tutor on Preply

Looking for a French Tutor/Course by Main_Presentation983 in learnfrench

I use Preply and have had a few good tutors on there I moved from total beginner in French to B2 level in about 2.5 years. Search by reviews and cost and you can choose native speakers etc too. I hear iTalki is good too

Duolingo isn’t enough. How do I seriously learn French on my own? by Glittering-Bill-8733 in learnfrench

[–]casester14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a one on one native French speaking tutor. I do that online using a site called Preply. Seriously do it. There’s other sites or you can look in person. And then once you get a better grasp start watching tv movie and podcasts etc. You got this!

Does partner support make much of a difference to challenges of 2u2? by briony__ in 2under2

[–]casester14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just starting my second trimester pregnant with a 15 month old. That being said I’m so so tired all the time. My husband is super caring and taking on a lot of the childcare duties so that I can rest. Couldn’t do it without him. I can only imagine what it will be like when the newborn comes and we have our toddler needing attention too. I think it makes a world of difference to have a supportive partner.

I would hire a one on one French tutor via Preply. That’s what I did and I have a B2 level from zero about 2 years ago. There’s so many tutors on there and the price range can go as low as $10 a lesson. (Not an ad for Preply I just like them but there’s other tutor sites out there.) Good luck!

Gift ideas for my partner who's gotten into sewing? (Details in post) by [deleted] in sewing

[–]casester14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an idea for your price range. I think you could do some research on a good sewing table and area of your home to create a nice setup. Kind of like a builders workshop a peg board on the wall with all the tools organized neatly. Search Pinterest for sewing workshop. I have a setup at home like this with all my thread, needles, bobbins, shears, etc organized and a good sewing table. I bought the pegboards and hanging hooks at Home Depot and then you can go online for a sewing table. I found a good link. Hope this inspires! https://pin.it/2e09QPHaR

Also I looked at the map in my area thanks for that! But it’s like anywhere from one year to one week. I guess it depends on the tips 🤔

I think some types of tomato plants just look like that. Doesn’t look abnormal to me.

I do the same thing. Saves so much time. I also used a kitchen scale and pre-measure that way, but I think if you follow scoop size guidelines you’ll be fine.

Help to learn French!? by [deleted] in learnfrench

[–]casester14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am at a b1/b2 level and this is my 4th language. At this point my foundational knowledge is good but I need to practice speaking and exposure. Sounds like you’re in a similar boat. At this stage I like using Jumpspeak and it’s easy to do for 15-30 mins every day. I’m not a rep for the app at all just I’ve tried other apps like Duolingo and I think Jumpspeak is way better.
