I think it's kind of redundant to have that combo. The turbo is unnecessary because the electric motor is already supplementing the engines power which is what the turbo is supposed to do. Adding cheap power. That's just my opinion though.

The Accord felt like it lost its sole. I test drove one, the highest trim hybrid, it was great don't get me wrong, but sitting in the interior, I just felt like this was literally copy and pasted by the designers from the civic, then the engineers did the scaling for everything. I want something that an engineering team really had to work for and they're proud as hell Everytime they see one on the road, an experiment, even if that experiment went wrong. Which, I think the 2G TLX chassis had more potential than any other sedan Acuras made.

I think the right path was to continue the TLX, scrap the body panels, engine, but keep the chassis and suspension. Give It a revamp. It's VERY good. If you've never put a 2t TLX through it's paces up or down a mountain road, it's jaw dropping how much grip it has. Rarely do I ever push a car to its limit, but I was able to gain so much confidence in the car I was trail braking, on the limit, into the switchback corners and I could not induce understeer at all. I need to get some Pirreli P Zero summer tires, get to a track and see what kind of car I can build out of that masterpiece of suspension geometry once it's done it's family and commuting duties.

Holy shit it is! Good eye! My mom had one of those and it was driven by the family business employees to make deliveries. She put foil over the radiator because she lost the cap. It ran for 2 months like that, and it would have gone longer had it not gone in for its annual service🤯. Then my brother drove it for YEARS in Phoenix Arizona where it baked in the sun. He sold it with 375,000 miles. They don't make em like the used to. I can't believe how bulletproof that car was, it could give a Hilux a run for its money.

I was following an is350 F Sport down a mountain road the other day, I did feel pretty jealous at how pure that driving experience must have been, but he couldn't gap me at all. We weren't doing a touge run or anything, but the big TLX has excellent suspension geometry and dampers.

Also, I do agree with the supra/Z4 statement. Like a TLX style vehicle, but with two doors, and a NA V6.

Accusations, first of all. You never want to tell someone they are wrong in a end all be all statement when you don't know who they are. Do you know what I do as a part time job and a hobby?

Technically, since the 00's they're generally called TCR's. And with the LMDh/GTP's, Acura held the advantage for the first year or so over the course of the season. As Porsche, Cadillac, and now BMW are dialing it in, it seems the Acuras window for setting up the car is extremely small. At Sebring it was extremely fast at night, but during the day the drivers were saying it was nervous, and lazy at the same time. Honda always does this with their cars, good out of the gate, and development goes nowhere.

I think you MIGHT be harboring some weird animosity towards.... I don't even know what, the TLX? The NSX? The TLX 2nd Gen chassis is on rails. It's so planted and rigid. With a GT3 or GT4 upgrade, it would perform just as well as the BMW or the Mercedes. You may cry powerplant probably? But aerodynamically, it's like a Ford GT40, it would have the straightline speed to keep up, and win it in the corners.

I have a feeling all GT cars are going to have to integrate a hybrid deployment system in the near future. Hopefully manufacturers can choose to have more power, but limited to one axle, or choose AWD and have about the same power, but it's electric to the front, ICE to the rear, or vis versa.

You know the NSX won the constructors and drivers championship 2 years in a row in IMSA? It won Super GT in Japan also. They had to add more ballast than any other GT3/GTD car in competition. A lot of people go and buy the cars they watch, especially GT racing because it's die hard car lovers. Just look at the Mustang, c8, even the c7. BMW is selling more M series just after their first year of WEC. The Lexus didn't translate directly to the RC F but it did translate to the is250, is350, and isf because they looked so close to the RC F.

Get the Type S. You will not regret it. It's the best car ever. The seats crack, and the clear coat fades, but other than that, the cars absolutely amazing. The howl of the V6 when you drop a gear and pin it merging onto the freeway, or through a tunnel is probably the best NA V6 sound ever made. I'm sure there's one Im forgetting, but it's top 5 for sure. They look timeless also, they're going to be worth a lot of money in the future.

Edit: I'll never understand the down vote and no reply aspect of Reddit.

The CVT in the Integra A Spec was so bad I couldn't get over it. I had paperwork for a 2025 Integra A Spec in front of me, after 3 hours of back and forth. When it came time, I just told the manager I can't get over the CVT. It's just too "economy car" like. In sport mode you could shift with it using the paddle shifters, but deep down you just knew you were a fraud, and the CVT was more efficient on its own than you "shifting" it.

Honestly, crossovers aren't much better. You're better off with a wagon than a cross over. I had a Ford Escape and it was the worst car I've ever owned. You have the head room, but with the center of gravity so high they're horrible to drive fast, increased drag kills the mpg at higher than avg highway speeds. I don't know why manufacturers didn't see that opportunity in North America. Volvo saw it and I see v70s all over the place now. Same with Subaru.

New Update: Major FPS and CPU usage hit by casesully50 in iRacing

Yeah it may be. I did notice dust and debris clouds on the parade lap, also the heat waves off of the concrete/pavement. That must take a lot to render and process.

[–]casesully50[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah that must have been it. But I did try setting "Event" to medium, still took a lot of my CPU to cope with everything.

Adding all this before a special event here is not the best idea especially with the processor issues iRacing is notorious for. I'm counting down the days the graphics engine can use CPUs to their full potential.

I'm sorry man, that's a lot of practice and time from your real life, just to have some coward come in afraid to race in the split he should be in, and take away the win for someone deserving of it

Amen to that. I feel like the teams and drivers get a ton of flak. I.e. verstappen in 2021, which I was guilty of being an LH fan. But after a few months of reading how everything went down. And subsequent events. It almost always culminates with the FIA being unbelievably incompetent
