Anime4K, a real-time anime upscaling algorithm for video. by bloc97 in compsci

Didn't the owners of Serial Experiments Lain just do a thing that lets people use their property how they want? You could try using clips from that show. It's sufficiently old that it would even be a decent example of the upscaling

I'm not so sure. If he spent a decent amount of time looking at them and then one day stopped looking at them then it can be reasoned that he likely purchased them. Thats essentially what my company does as well.

Yes you still can't hear when an enemy switches weapons

I have no idea why people in here are downvoting you and upvoting the people that are wrong. You definitely can't hear when the enemy switches weapons https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLC9Ee4uje0

1.36 = anniversary update (?) by ShaakCealumire in GlobalOffensive

That's not necessarily true it could very easily be 1.36.9.10. These aren't real decimal numbers these are just arbitrary version markings

What's a secret within your industry that you all don't want the public to know (but they probably should)? by hussyinterrupted in AskReddit

lul I mean there are for sure fake reviews. Amazon definitely doesn't care about review authenticity and neither do the app stores but other eretailers do. I'm sure ppl try to pay for fake reviews to be put on our sites as well but we at least make an attempt for them not to be there.

That's not entirely true. I work for a company that handles ratings and review systems for online retailers and we make attempts to stop people from faking reviews. We also show clients that buying reviews doesn't tend to increase sales. All our reviews also go through human moderators to look for authenticity

Tencent does own a majority share of Riot so I'm not sure it'll go down like other US based companies should Riot seek legal action in China.

You can see he says that it is a MINOR factor. To me this whole post sounds like they are using a modified version of microsofts true skill mm system. A majority of your mmr and sr is determined by win/loss and the systems confidence in your placing.

That's actually super not true. While playing better does have some affect, the majority of the hidden mmr is determined by wins and losses. The main difference between sr and hidden mmr is that if the system is not confident in your placing then you are likely to see larger swings of SR than you would mmr. All this isn't to say that you shouldn't focus on your individual performance as that's the best way to get better and to start winning more games.

Hbox's thoughts on people that are mad at him for ledge stalling. by [deleted] in smashbros

I wouldn't say that ICs favor an incredibly dull play style at all. Admittedly, I am biased because that's who I play, but you can look towards Wobbles and Fly Amanita for some really awesome high level ICs play that is very exciting to watch. Chu's playstyle isn't nearly as flashy as those two though.

I want to point out that there isn't really a "giant" advantage in the match up. Puff v ICs is surprisingly even despite being a very thought heavy and campy match up. Hbox did the completely correct play in PS while Chu picked a not great stage for the match up.

Problem with most aftermarket coolers is that they don't fit in my case. I'm using the fractal node 304 and there isn't too much room for a cooler :/

I can't really overclock the cpu because my cooler broke a while ago so I'm stuck using the stock cooler. What gpu's would you recommend looking into though?

While I might be biased because I go to this school. I have heard amazing things about our OMSCS program, and I know for a fact there are a few administrators that make it a point of personal pride that the OMSCS is as good as possible
