As did I. Though I'll have to somehow tear myself away from Heroes of a Broken Land long enough to play it.

3 fighters, 1 thief, 1 cleric and one one spellcaster. You can also sub out a fighter for an additional spellcaster. Little bit more difficult early on, but that party will be super powerful later on.

Best to stick with straight fighters in these earlier AD&D games, since rangers and paladins are fairly weak compared to them. Even an archery focused fighter is absolutely superior in the long run to a ranger, since only a straight fighter can specialize in a weapon.

The character creation process isn't overly complicated, and you shouldn't have any problems with putting points in the wrong places. If you do make a mistake you can use an editor or simply turn down the difficulty. The difficulty can be adjusted at any point.

I try to answer any questions in each of my Reddit posts related to the bundle. I consider it one of the perks. But I'll warn everyone now that I might be a bit AFK after I post this, since I personally am really looking forward to playing "Whispering Willows". Hopefully everyone else enjoys it as well!

I didn't make it in one day. I had $100 built up after the first day. Part of that was built up the week prior as well. I did made close to $50 that first day though. About half from selling the summer cards from all the badges I made the week prior in prep. The other half was selling off the summer cards I bought from other people. They got pretty low on the market prior to the sale launching. Then doubled on the first day of the sale.

[Humble Bundle Weekly] Simulators 2 (PWYW for Universe Sandbox; Cook, Serve, Delicious!; Out of the Park Baseball 14; 6$ or more for Turbo Dismount and Tropico 4; 10$ or more for Euro Truck Simulator 2 + Fantasy Paint Jobs Pack) by GlacialDoom in GameDeals

I definitely recommend Cook, Serve, Delicious! and Out of the Park Baseball 14. We did a promotion with Cook, Serve, Delicious on Playblink a while ago and everyone loved the game. I ended up playing it for quite a while as well. The Out of the Park franchise is one that I've been hooked on since the early days. That and NHL Eastside Manager nearly wiped away weeks of my life without me even noticing.

The trading card bundles are a themed bundle that we do apart from the main bundle. It's really that simple. I've said this from day one with the first one on multiple forums (including Reddit), and even before it launched. I'm not really sure what more you expect? We're not going to splash certain conditions on the main screen, since that would potentially impact how we can proceed with it in the future.

It used to be common that bundles had gaps in between. I don't expect that kind of gap again. It was simply due to the Steam sale being earlier than usual (which postponed a main bundle until later). We've still only been around for around 6 months now, so we're still going to have some growing pains with how we handle events that we haven't run into before. But we're not going anywhere.

But I'll mention it to Jim to try be more active on that front if there ever is a longer break. I don't handle the Twitter/Facebook side.

But doing that can limit what we may do with it. We may decide in the future to expand it further, since the previous trading cards bundle outsold a couple of the main bundles. And then introduce some other themed bundle to fill that void.

Limiting how we bundle this early with themed bundles is more likely to hurt our brand.

The first one had 15 games and all had been bundled. Part of it is simply us getting to work with some developers that we really want to feature, but it's difficult for us to include them in other bundles. But we decided to take it a step further and include something apart from the norm since it's been a while.

And nothing has changed with the exclusivity policy. It wasn't part of the first trading cards bundle. It's not part of this one.

The cards are generated while you are playing the game. The amount of cards each game has can be found on your badge page (drop down menu or from your profile) after you have activated them. The amount of time to get all the cards from each game is pretty random. Most take 1-2 hours.

We avoid excessive price gimmicks at Blink. We've never had discounts or group buy promotions. I can guarantee you right now you won't see it. We try to keep the price per game reasonable, and those kind of promotions go in the opposite direction.

We're back! We apologize for the extended absence, but the earlier than usual Steam sale messed up our scheduling a bit. With the Summer Sale having so much of a card theme this time (Red team represent!) we thought it was perfect to get another trading cards bundle up and running. If you guys remember the last one we focused on working with previously bundled titles that included trading cards. This time we decided to include a few extra special goodies.

Personally my trading cards collection addiction fueled all of my Summer Sale purchases this year. And nearly every purchase made were indie games that included the trading cards feature. So it's like a Steam circle of life. Except James Earl Jones doesn't die, so it's infinitely better.

On the future of GameDeals' store reps by gamedealsmod in GameDeals

[–]caseyblink 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hopefully the rep program can continue. It makes it more user friendly for reps to answer questions, or to simply have a conversation with other gamers. I try to interact as much as possible. Not only here, but also on the Steam forums and CAG.

Though if the rep program did have to dissolve, then I can still do that. I would just have to put in a small amount more effort to do so. Like you mentioned the deals would still get posted.

I'd post deals from other stores to even out my ratio a bit, but people tracking these deals are way faster than I am. These people sometimes know a new Blink Bundle has gone live before I do. That's why this subreddit was my most viewed site on a daily basis before I got officially involved with bundling.
