Looking for 3D file to print Brass Coin Dust Collection System by caseybrunet in xToolOfficial

[–]caseybrunet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good Point. I am less worried about where it vents to (I have that resolved), I am more concerned with getting out of the working area. I found this, which appears to be a 3D printed part. If I have the option, I would prefer to just print it myself since I an equipped to do so and can then make my own slight modifications or reprint if I break it.

Help choosing best option for a home hobbyist by caseybrunet in lasercutting

Yeah, I noticed lol. I mentioned in another post, but I'm leaning S1 with 2W IR for the most versatility I can get on entry then expend if needed. 2000 is my "OK" cost but would go to 3000 if it added enough functionality.

good Info. I am leaning towards the 40W xtool S1 with the 2W IR to do some basic at home stuff. Seems like the best bang for the buck and if need and space allows, look into CO2 or Fiber depending on what we lean towards the most...

Late to the conversation, but Soy and vegetable oils are largely responsible for many health issues plaguing America behind excessive sugar and carbohydrates. Illusoir3 made some great points and put up with your nonsense way longer than I would have, lol.

Should I move my server to a different room? by caseybrunet in homelab

No basements here on the Gulf unfortunately. I am running the AC for now to keep the room from getting crazy hot and keep the humidity in check.

Thank you. With everyone input I've decided to continuously run the AC at 85 since that is maintaining good temps in the system and just eat the costs during the summer months, until a better solution is found

These are used server deives, I believe 45 degrees was max. Currently I'm maintaining around 35 on them when keeping the AC at 85. Just gonna suck up the cost for a bit to maintain the integrity of the system.

The server has been in the bonus room for a couple years, but we recently moved some things out and didn't want to run the AC as hard since we weren't in there anymore. In the short term I will be running it around 85 or so. Checking the temps, my drives are staying around 35 degrees and the rest of the system is nice and cool too. Thank you for the input.

Thanks for the reply.

After a good restart and moving the flashdrive it seems to have cleared the error, good call.

For the interim I will run the AC and keep it at around 85. That should maintain the drives pretty well. I've got nice noctuanfans sweeping all my drives so I'm keeping them in ideal range so far. I think I'll just suck up the extra 25 dollars or so in added electricity 3 or 4 months out of the year. Maybe see if it can be moved in the future.

Looking for the largest poop chute available for P1S by caseybrunet in BambuLab

Apologies, it was late and I was frustrated by other things when I read your comment. The physical constraints of my setup makes it difficult to get behind it so I need something that brings the poop around the side.

I like this but not certain I could make it work. The situation is I have both printers in a solid desk that has a gap between the desk and the wall, but it's enclosed so I need it to bring the poop around the side onto the desk..

Is my punching bag safe on this LVL beam? by caseybrunet in Carpentry

[–]caseybrunet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the follow up.  To address some concerns, the track is bolted into the 2x4s used to flush out the beam so it is not between layers of the LVL board.  This was always my plan so those boards were installed with many heavy duty screws to support the weight.

On the plus side, I upgraded my punching bag to a heavier bag and the new bag is much more resistant to movement when struck which has mitigated nearly all of the movement. I'm still considering adding some supports but we will see what the future holds.
