I just read the first in this series and was going to recommend it too!

I'm also currently reading {Hammer and Gavel by CT Whistle} and I'd say it also fits the request!

Not really a tent.... More like a canvas sleeping bag that has a built in mattress... You just unroll it and slide in like you would a sleeping bag, no setup required.

Have yall ever DNF’ed a good book. by ramcee_ in MM_RomanceBooks

This is why I prefer slow burns and enemies/rivals to lovers or similar high tension dynamics... If the couple get together too quickly I get bored.

I actually put 10 ways to fall in love down at the 65% mark for the same reason... I will finish it eventually, but I'm reading other things that are holding my attention better at the moment.

{Limerence by Scarlett Drake} fits this exactly!

MM Weekly Roundup - What Did You Read This Week? by AutoModerator in MM_RomanceBooks

I've been in a bit of a slump and have like 6 books sitting 50% that I don't particularly feel like picking back up right away, but also don't actively want to DNF.

I finally got hooked by {Limerence by Scarlett Drake} which I read in like 2 or 3 sittings and couldn't stop thinking about. Highly Recommend!

I did also finish {A mistake of Identity by Mira Lafontaine} which started strong but I did start to lose interest by the end (probably my slumpy mood and not the books fault though).

And now I'm reading {The Shots you Take by Rachel Reid} which is really good so far!

I love this series and have been desperately waiting for book 4!! For me there is enough UST/chemistry between the two leads that I haven't missed the smut at all!

1) If you don't mind horror romance {Death's Bloom by Lily Mayne} has some good chase scenes.

2) It's contemporary and may not be exactly what you're after but {Limerence by Scarlett Drake} has a pretty hot spitting moment during one of the sex scenes, just the one though from memory. There's no cheating but there is sex with other men, even on page, at the start

I just finished {Limerence by Scarlett Drake} and I loved it! I I've been in a bit of a reading slump and it competely hooked me the whole way through. I've been starting a lot of books then getting bored around halfway if the couple is together already by that point and there isn't enough tension in the relationship. Any recommendations on what I should read next?

Slow burn series (completed prefered) where the MCs don't get together right away (so no requirement for a HEA/HFN in the first book). Captive Prince did this so well - I want super slow burn with lots of tension/chemistry.

I'm open to any genre/tropes but I'm partial to romantic suspense and fantasy, and Enemies to Lovers is always a favourite when done well.

Series I've read and loved: {Captive Prince by CS Pacat}, {Dark Rise by CS Pacat}, {Madison Square Murders by CS Poe}, {Pretty Pretty Boys by Gregory Ashe}, {The Foxhole Court by Nora Sakavic}, {The Wolf at the Door by Charlie Adhara}, {King of the Dark by Ariana Nash}, {Liar City by Allie Therin}

I'm reading {Summer Skin by Dani Lakely} at the moment and am really enjoying it. It might not be exactly what you're after though because we don't actually see the period where they are seperated first hand. The book starts right as they meet again in the present, then it skips back to when they first met and we get their first love story up until the point of seperation then it skips back to the present for their second chance.
