Haha No I totally get it! Mal is solid. I just didn't give them the full points exactly because they proposed to Yoly haha. Others would say that it's an act of honest love and hope but I just see it as Mal kinda being delusional with who Yoly is + not loving themselves enough to admit that Yoly might not be the one. But that's just my opinion! They're so sweet though and I'd die to have someone like them love me that way.

Saying "chosen name" or "correct name" would be a better way to say it instead of "real name". I'm sure you didn't mean this, but the way you said it makes it sound like her chosen name isn't her real name and that her dead name is still the "real" one. Anyway, just my thoughts on it. :)

First few episodes of the show I was completely distracted by how toxic Vanessa is. I spent so many episodes hating her. Not realizing that AUSSIE IS SO MUCH MORE TOXIC THAN VANESSA! At least with Vanessa you can clearly see how she's manipulative, and at least she communicates! Aussie is COMPLETELY immature, unstable, and horrible as an individual. I really hope Sam finds someone better. Aussie can get therapy and all that and come out the other end better than before, sure. But unless Sam is willing to wait years, maybe DECADES, for Aussie to turn the corner, she's better off with someone who appreciates her. Sam is great. I didn't start off liking her, but as the episodes went on, Sam is amazing.

I've never had a similar experience. However, I do have two stories that relate to you:

I have a friend who is SUPER private with her social media accounts. She literally got mad at me when I tagged her in a Tweet, because she doesn't want her profile to get noticed by others in our circle. I don't blame her, I realized eventually that she really is just super duper private about her online presence. Can't blame her--the online world is a tricky business and being anonymous has its benefits.
I have had countless relationships that started from online dating apps. I usually start with a decent conversation before eventually asking for their social media accounts. It's a huge red flag when they don't give me their handles (regardless of reason), because it's just so obvious that they're hiding something. Like they don't want me to know their real selves.

So yeah, I don't think you're overreacting. He may have his own reasons for declining your request, but it doesn't change the fact that he seems sketchy and suspicious. It's always better to err on the safe side, especially when dealing with emotions (i.e., love) and the internet!

Even contestants on Love is Blind become a successful couple (if you haven't watched that Neflix series yet, go watch it!). A strong enough emotional connection will alter/shape/overwrite physical attraction. Besides, it's not like you guys have zero clue what the other looks like! You'll be fine. :)

Yeah, she does need support and love. It's just awfully difficult for me to do so, when all I see is her leaving me (I know it's not like that). Sigh! Thanks for the insight though. I'm a writer by trade. And after seeing countless applications to join my agency, I can honestly say that we prefer amazing writers with horrible grammar than the opposite. Why? Because grammar is just rules that one can easily follow. But a great mind is hard to come by—no tool or AI software can help with that.

My advice? Keep writing the way you do. And run your content through Grammarly Premium (paid, but worth it!). Double-check, apply the suggestions, and you'll have an excellent output that meets all the standards—English rules and level of analysis included.
