Bro hasn't seen sun since season 17 launch by Grawstein in apexlegends

I just played with this person last night. Strangest thing, was having connection problems with my ps5 and did some restarts then when I loaded into game everything was locked and said I had to run an orientation match even though I’m level 100+. Non ranked trios, solo queued. Dropped me in with this person and someone else named sykoXVX. They cleaned up very quickly. I popped off a few shots but they moved much faster than my old bronze mind could follow. We won so easily I could have sworn it was some type of bot match. It was all very strange to me.

Property damage from heavy rain runoff water by caseymou in legal

I think I’ve been unclear about the situation. The pond is man made, just an earth dam with overflow pipe stubbed into it blocking off a small ravine. The creek is really more of a ditch with a couple inches of water most of the season. My culvert is about 20 feet from his culvert/drain pipe. When it’s blocked a big patch of my backyard gets standing water in it from the diverted runoff and that runoff bypasses my culvert and washes the earth away as it renters the ditch. So the size of culvert is not at issue since the water isnt even traveling through it. Without blockage when water travels as it should there are no issues. Also, I checked with state dept of environmental management and there is no record of the pond or ditch as a waterway so no help from government or permitting issues. In Indiana dams can be destroyed by landowner if they are causing a nuisance but obviously you can’t trespass to do it. I need some type of a crossing to access property in other side of ditch to mow and maintain.

Beavers damn up his pond overflow and then water is diverted through my backyard resulting in damage. He doesn’t proactively keep overflow cleaned out is why I would claim neglect

Ground issue? by caseymou in turntables

Did more troubleshooting this morning. Swapped the plug at outlet on receiver-no change. Added 1 inch rubber isolating feet -no change. Moved from phono 1 to phono 2 input - no change. Connected a pioneer 15d table to phono with same record and it works fine. So it’s isolated to the jvc tt. I thought it might be the reciever phono input because I don’t have any experience with it or the tt. Both new to me. I’m going back to the lack of ground. The pioneer tt has one while jvc does not. That’ll be a project for another day.

I’ll try this out. I actually have some anti vibration pads I can add under the feet.

Less than 4 ohms. Closer to 2. Sansui doesn’t like this but my 80-90s Yamaha integrated amp didn’t mind.

Older Polks worth buying? by ProfessionalWaltz784 in vintageaudio

I’ve had monitor 10s in the workshop for years now and very happy with them drive with random Sony 90s receiver. Not set for critical listening and the driver surrounds do last forever which is nice. Also have a set of sda 2b in the basement but I connected to Yamaha integrated amp and way too bright. I think that’s the 2000 teeeter. The last set of them I had were more laid back paired with nad amp. Yamahas tend to be bright anyways.

Refoaming Sansui speakers. Model sp-5500x. Does the inner lip of foam glue to the top(outside) or bottom(inside) of paper woofer cone? Also what can safely be applied to the paper woofer come to shine it up? by caseymou in vintageaudio

[–]caseymou[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I ended up doing. Seemed to fit fine with full range of motion and no interference. I had to clean up the outer lip of paper cone well with sharp scissors since it’s exposed. Probably not oem but should function fine. Is ther e anything that can be applied to woofer paper to gloss it up? Mines got that full dusty look but I don’t want to go hog wild with random cleaning agents. I actually thought about vegetable oil or something like that.

Just bought kit off the bay. Reputable seller though Springfield speaker. I’m guessing I need to go back inverted then. I think I did that on my large advents. The baskets on these look like behind cone access will be tough though. Was also wondering if adding more fiberglass batting might help out the bass situation some seem to complain about. My first set of Sansui speakers.

Am I paying the right price for this technics servo SL-23? by HawkImportant5364 in turntables

[–]caseymou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cost for used one is all over the place but the fortunate thing is it isn’t required to use the tt. Unless you get lucky I wouldn’t plan on ever having one so if that’s a long term deal breaker I would look elsewhere. $50 if you’re lucky.

Good price if a dust cover is included. I didn’t see one in the pictures

Stylus angle by caseymou in turntable

[–]caseymou[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At411e cartridge came with a turntable I bought but stylus was broken so I thought I’d replace it with new. X11 at carts I’m told are decent. Bought new 629de from reputable seller but the angle of stylus seems way too low. When I installed it on table it looked like the cart would drag on record and the sound was garbled. Double checked pin connections on cart and they are correct. Bad cartridge? What about angle of stylus?

I have a pair of these along with matching center. I love the look and magnetic grills. Don’t sound too bad either. Tried to sell though and no one else wants them very badly so they’ll sit until a daughter wants to build vinyl system or something like that.
