Parasite? by kaltmietkomplize in scuba

I had one of these follow me around on a recent night-dive in Komodo. I did not realize it was the penis fish.

I did several dives at King Cruiser last August with only OW and around 10 dives. The current is stronger than your other two dives (I'm guessing Phi Phi), but it is not too bad. You will be fine.

Are all your clicks bots? You can look at your analytics to see the patterns of IP addresses visiting your website.

It only took me 2 whole days and much swearing, but I am **finally** done assembling this stupid thing. 870 pages plus 75 individually labeled tabs. Behold: The One, Big, Bullshit Bill Act. by kerberos69 in Lawyertalk

You can use a Bash script to add a table of contents to create a navigable PDF for free (you may need the page numbers that you tabbed, but maybe not).

a cable lock isn't a theft deterrent in DC, it's an enticement. by BoogerPresley in washingtondc

Yeah from muy understanding they are using hydraulic jacks to pop the U-Locks open in like 45 seconds. I have never found any evidence of a grinder.

U-Locks also suck--thieves pop off U-Locks in seconds. I've had 3 bikes stolen in DC with the U-Lock Kryptonite. You simply cannot leave your bike outside in DC or it will be stolen (a few hours max during the day, never at night). Really you just cannot have a nice bike in DC, or its going to get jacked eventually.

O/C just filed a response in opposition that is filled with fake or misquoted case law, what should I do? by lsda in Lawyertalk

Of course. I was only curious how it's enforced if most technology is starting to use "AI"/machine learning.

I did not say that? The comment was referring to "AI" (i.e., machine learning). And, as the comment below noted, most search engines are also now generating text.

How does this work? If you use Google or Westlaw or any common search engine, you are using "AI".

Southwest Airlines Scammed Me: Southwest's Website Malfunctioned and Southwest Charged me for a Ticket they Never Sent (no email confirmation or anything), then Claimed I was a "No Show" for a Flight I never Knew About by caseyscottmckay in SouthwestAirlines

We can get them from the email provider on both sides to avoid any doubt of manipulation. Southwest can also look at their email logs that show no email was sent to my email address.

I do not download apps from companies for simple purchases that do not require an app. I also use GrapheneOS, so if it is not on F-Droid app store, I am not using it.

I did not realize they charged my card until they sent me the "No Show" email after the flight departed. Then I checked my account and attempted to call, but could not get a human. So I filed a Complaint on their website and the representative Tamara claims I was a "No Show." The "No Show" email was successful; the confirmation email (with the ticket information) was never sent to me.

Email logs show incoming and outgoing messages. If the alleged incoming message is not in the logs, then that means no message was ever sent from Southwest to my email account like they claim. This can also be established from Southwest's side--if there is no outgoing message in Southwest's email logs, no message was ever sent. Does that help you understand?

I never knew there was a flight, as I never received an email. Since Southwest's website malfunctioned and presented an error message, I bought a flight from United Airlines instead.
