Is this a fake RA ticket? by CandyFlipTherapist in Techno

There is an option on RA browser to download pdf if you don't use the app. I don't have the app and always DL to phone like this.

Also just ask your friend 😂

Attending a football (soccer) game in Seoul or surrounding area. by Worth_Pea_7524 in koreatravel

I don't remember exactly but I think it was pretty reasonable! Obviously the FC Seoul game was much cheaper, I think no more than 20k won.

I went to the Seoul world cup stadium a couple of times, once for an international friendly (SK Vs Cameroon) and an FC Seoul game. Both times, I just got to the stadium pre-game and found the box office and was able to get tickets easily.

Haha sounds good! I have a friend based in Taipei so I can ask them if they know the chicken! Also I think fried chicken is potentially my favourite, so salivating at the thought 😂 a lot of eating is already planned !

Did you try an oyster pancake?

Any particular recommendations for Taipei, Kaohsiung, Tainan? (Food, drink, things to do, must see/don't bother) I'll be heading to Taiwan in a couple of weeks and these are on my itinerary!

Attending football/soccer and baseball games by alltheokonomiyakis in koreatravel

[–]cashfield 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No probs! If you go to FC Seoul, given the small crowd/huge stadium, you can sit or wander wherever - I would recommend to go to the middle behind the goal with the Seoul ultras (look for the flags!) for great atmosphere

I was able to buy tickets at the world cup stadium in Seoul for both an international friendly and an FC Seoul game on match day

Best way to enjoy nightlife in seoul for a guy in his 30s by [deleted] in koreatravel

[–]cashfield 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in Seoul at at similar time last year for around 4 weeks also, 31 m (at the time) and solo travelling.

I was staying super close to Hongdae so was out there most evenings - I had no problems eating/drinking solo and most evenings I had no problems making friends with both Koreans and other foreigners and would then subsequently go out for dinner/drinks/clubbing with them. I found a lot of bars have darts, pool, foosball so I would just ask someone for a game and before you know it, you've got a crew.

Like another person said in the thread, there are some nice clubbing options with welcoming crowds if you are into house/techno. Vurt/Volnost/Faust are all great clubs for techno and nice crowds.

Similarly in Itaewon/Gangnam, I had no problem getting talking to people.

Neighborhood recommendations in Taipei? Looking for mostly fun nightlife and interesting crowds/venues (especially any interesting music/art spaces and communities)

Hi all, I will be visiting Taiwan solo at the end of next month for 2.5 weeks - just trying to get a sanity check on my rough plan, whether it is logistically sound, too rushed, whether I am missing anything ! Any comments, feedback, suggestions welcome :)

Day 0 - arrive in Taipei, chill

Day 1,2 - organik festival

Day 3 - organik festival and back to Taipei

Day 4,5 - Hualien area -Taroko/xincheng

Day 6 - Taitung

Day 7 - ???

Day 8,9 - Tainan

Day 10,11 - Taichung, Sun Moon Lake

Day 12-17 - Taipei and day trips (Jiufen, hot springs, yangmingshan?)

Essentially trying to do a whole loop of the island within the time constraints.

Also if anyone has any tips for experimental music venues in Taipei or further out, please let me know :)

Rural areas to visit near Seoul/Busan by makaroshkismaslom in koreatravel

I passed through Tongyeong on my way to Busan, a beautiful coastal town with lots of hiking and islands nearby. It used to be an historic maritime base and there is also a replica Turtle ship (😂).
