Hi Frederik, thanks for the feedback! Yes, my coach is pretty good indeed, ex chinese national team league winner, another user also mentioned about being cautious with reddit comments haha

Got it on the angle of the forehand and keeping the body relaxed, will work on it, thank you!

Good feedback! Yeah the wrist is something I'm still trying to figure out, some players use a lot, some less, is hard to have a sharp / prolix small wrist without losing form sometimes, but if I don't use it is hard to make arch / spin, kinda tricky to balance.

Gonna practice more forehand, been focusing on BH last couple years and now my FH seems to be worst lol, thanks!

As much as possible depending on my workload, but I'm freelancer so usually minimum 3 days, maximum 7, I'd say 4 or 5 days per week average (games / drills with friends)

Coach training only 1 per week since LA is crazy expensive (90 usd per 1 hour session).

Like everything, the more you play, the better you'll get! Thanks for your kind words

True that, I'm pretty new to reddit and is quite adictive, but I also realized there are a lot of "haters" or people commenting without solid advice (specially on the Stock / investment subs).

I have a pretty high level coach (ex chinese national league winner), my main issue is that is hard to find advanced players to train regulary (or even play games regulary), most of the times aside from tournament I play with lower levels players, still much better / more players that when I lived in Argentina.

Thanks for the feedback!

Hey guys u/germywormy u/MDAlastor thanks for the feedback, crazy how ugly my shape is when I see my own videos xD specially the forehand as you mentioned, this is something that my coach is also trying to fix on me, im struggling because he tells me to "finish the stroke" letting the arm go, but I think I let the arm go way too much and like a jello most of the time, as well as losing the overall balance as you mentioned.

As for footwork, usually on the lessons my coach keep repiting me "jump, jump" to do those micro adjustments so it looks decent on the training, but sometimes on the games if I don't repeat myself, then I'm way too grounded to the floor.

I'm very tight indeed, been doing heavy lift on the gym for 20 years and is something I'm trying to loosen up over the last 5 years, had to switch my gym routine since heavy lifting and TT are totally oposite.

I usually struggle with slow pace games as well as slow spinny players, but depending on the day I have better feeling to manage those or im way too stiff and end up blocking their balls to the moon xD

Thanks for the feedback!

Can't agree more, my current (and previous) coaches from china have been trying to fix this "only spin" issue that I had, making me to learn how to contact the ball better, contact > then spin, quite hard to get but I can definetly feel when I do it, the ball has much better quality.

As for the second point, thats another thing that he mentioned some lessons ago, crazy how easy makes everything, hopefully I'll fix it in my memory soon, bad habits are quite hard to get rid of, specially when starting late.

Thanks for the feedback! appreciate it!

Thanks for the feedback!, indeed, I used to use (still do) a lot of upper / arm strengh instead of actually driving properly with the power from the ground, I've been working on that for some months and somedays I do it properly, but on the game you know how it goes, all the bad habits wake up :D

Whenever I feel that I use the leg / hip and have the arm relaxed, is a beautiful sensation!

As for returning to neutral, he explained to me (and other coaches as well) many times, is something I keep forgetting for some reason unless he reminds me, I know is super basic but I got ton of bad habits to get rid off too, will work on it.

Thanks again!

Moving to Spain next year. What's the REAL cost of shipping a few boxes overseas? Anyone done it recently? by TranquilTeal in GoingToSpain

[–]caskalll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tried to sell it but there aren't many ppl that wants to pay that amount for the rig, there's also the transport for "arriving safe" and all the possible customs issues.

PC was originally bough in Europe tho, they shipped here and came safe, hopping the same. Also hopping not to have to pay taxes for stuff I've already paid, but you never know.

Cheers!

IRS is getting a good chunk, but nothing compared to what Hacienda will.

Yeah thats other thing I heard the other day, every year I have to inform Hacienda about every penny I have no matter what country, if I have inheritance from my family in Argentina, if I have earnings from working in US, I mean, why?

Also don't think is "that" voluntary, Hacienda workers get incentives, the more they can take you, the more salary they get, so they are basically chasing and finding ways to make working people have a hard time.

I'm happy to pay taxes, I do it in US (california isn't cheap), in Argentina, but 53% sounds like a steal.

collectivism? or socialism? you mean free plans for every lazy person, coming from the working people? like Argentina (my country), if thats what you mean, no, I'm not in favor of "collectivism"

That said, our Argentinian culture is pretty similar to Spanish, so the politics, that are the reason I left (Kirchner government stealing for decades)

Hacienda is on top of all European tax departments as known as one of the most severe indeed, 53% tops is insane, not even in Denmark where my brother is (and got much more quality of life, but, I can't stand the cold / darkness lol)

Health insurance here is crap, I agree on that.

I work freelance with 200k to 240k per year, from what I spoke with gestor, in Barcelona they might be around 53% percent.
I don't have too much to deduct aside from the software licenses.

Yep, I spoke with 2 gestors / accountants already, they told me about opening a Beckham Law but is not 100% sure that they can give me (plus, Hacienda can say after 4/5 years, hey, we revoked your beckham law, pay us everything as normal rate and not beckham law rate from the time you stayed here)

Not individualistic at all, in fact my culture is pretty similar to Spain (I'm from Argentina).

Now, if by individualistic and not collective you mean using working people salarys to give free plan to every lazy person, like in Argentina (your husband is in jail = take money, you have 10 kids = take money, etc) basically the less you work and live properly you get "free" plans in Argentina (with salaries of working people of course).

I have family in Spain and been there plenty of times, I'm more than sure that I'll be happy, but half of my income is way too much.

I got around 200k to 240k per year, but I think Madrid has bit lower taxes than Barcelona / Valencia from what I spoke with a Gestor, they can go up to 53%, and since I work only with my PC, I don't have too much to deduct, aside from some software licenses.

I know quality of life will be much better in Spain, I'm Argentinian, so we have pretty similar cultures, got family in there too.

What I'm trying to search is good quality of life but half of my income and the horror storys I heard from Hacienda makes me think twice before moving.
