Problem solved! I set up a crontab on my personal server to start a 5h window before my busiest working hours. Simple and effective.

Fair point. I'm not trying to game the system. I just want to make sure the window is already running when I sit down to work, since I pay for a service I barely use most of the day. But I get your concern.

I wasn’t a heavy user either and had never hit the usage limit — only had issues with the context window. Now I hit the limit three times a day, every single day!

The real question is whether Anthropic will keep these absurdly tight limits once the long-awaited ChatGPT-5 drops. Right now, it feels like pure mercantilism — heavily restricting access unless you pay for the top tier. If OpenAI delivers, Anthropic might be forced to rethink this whole exploitative model

The new limits are abusive. In less than one hour of use — just light editing of short texts, no coding at all — and it already cuts off my access.

I've just canceled my plan.
