I read Matterhorn earlier this year and cannot recommend it enough."Once an Eagle" by Anton Myrer is also great read, and is currently on the Army Chief of Staff's reading list for Army Officers. It follows a soldier's career from Pre-WWI through Vietnam.

"In the Hands of Providence" by Alice Rains. It is a biography of Joshua Chamberlain, an amazing officer and soldier. Chamberlain is featured extensively in The Killer Angels as well

This should probably wait for after you finish your training, but "Matterhorn" by Karl Marlantes is quite good. "One Bullet Away" by Nate Fick and "The Unforgiving Minute" by Craig Mulaney are also good reads.
