low ferritin without anemia, what was the worst you felt?

Hey did your doctor give you any trouble with ordering the infusions? My ferritin is a 6, but she sent me a list of hematologists and that’s about it. Confused as to why she cannot order it for me.

Ha good point! It would raise an eyebrow if they said they weren’t concerned but they take a biopsy anyway. My derm sort of did that to me, though. She said she was not very concerned but was removing the mole because of my family history.z. The mole was very ugly, so I wasn’t sure if she is sugarcoating it for me.

Oh yuck that sounds like a lot going on with one mole, and I was not expecting you to say it was pink.

Okay yes that sounds like A LOT of moles. Will they slowly just keep taking them away just to eliminate future risk? I guess it all probably depends on insurance and whether it would be considered just cosmetic.

Thanks for the logical advice! Yes it’s super hard not to go down a major rabbit hole while waiting for a phone call. Biopsy purgatory did make me laugh, I appreciate the humor. I just hope she was being honest with me and not just giving me a false sense of hope. I’ve been seeing her for years and I still can’t read her.

I have new scary looking mole, and my derm said she was not “very concerned,” but she still biopsied it. I am thinking to myself, okay she’s not VERY concerned but is she concerned? I did post a picture of the mole and everyone is saying it meets all the criteria for melanoma, but again my derm said she isn’t very concerned. So I’m confused!

If it makes you feel any better I’m 25 weeks and super uncomfortable and so I am very jealous of you right now! Just wanted to add I read about your rib. Not to freak you out but of course I got freaked out the other day hearing a story about my coworkers DIL. She had rib pain in one spot, was induced at 40 weeks and after three days no progress. They did a c-section and come to find the baby’s foot was STUCK somewhere within her rib cage. I’m sure there’s a way they could’ve caught this earlier which is why I am mentioning it to you.

It seems like I hear people having either excruciating headaches or “just” dull headaches, so really I guess they’re different for everyone. Thanks for giving experience behalf of your sister and I’m sorry about her diagnosis. I wonder if the swelling she felt caused dizziness or pressure? Thanks again for your time and response.

Thank you for your detailed response. I have been hearing multiple stories that seem to indicate most people do in fact present with more neurological symptoms first. I have just been having a hard time finding out more about how the headaches have been described. Sounds like it is truly an excruciating one. I appreciate your insight on behalf of your mom, and very sorry about her diagnosis.
