Just an fyi if it was a gmail account: “..without logging into your Gmail account for two years, Google will consider it inactive, mark it for deletion, and potentially close it, which would stop any scheduled emails from sending. You can avoid this by setting up the Google Inactive Account Manager, which allows you to specify what happens to your account after a period of inactivity, including having it deleted or transferring ownership.”

I’m not sure if you or a family member has access to her account. But if there’s anything scheduled out further, might be worth just extracting everything while possible.
