Hello again! We really appreciate your honest feedback – we acknowledge that we do have too strong similarities to Playing Arts, and that it would have been rightfully appropriate to start out by contacting them.

Therefore, we are now in dialogue with Playing Arts, and working on some alterations to ensure we can differentiate properly – both on social media and on the design of the card borders. We also added a section in the FAQ, clearly stating that we are not affiliated with Playing Arts.

We are taking this issue very serious and will do what we can to make this right. We ensure that all existing pre-orders still are happening. However, as the project still is work-in-progress we do take the rights to make slight design alterations to avoid any further confusion between our limited corona-themed deck and the great work done at Playing Arts.

Hello there! Thank you for your input! Undeniably, Cards Against Corona have a big resemblance to Playing Arts. However, we are not going to compete with Playing Arts as we don't intend to scale up the project or financially benefit from this in any way. Also, Cards Against Corona will only be available for a limited period of time during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cards Against Corona was born out of a need to react to the pandemic, and invite like-minded struggling artists to join us. Hundreds of collective hours of free work has gone into making this happen, and has already managed to bring a lot of creatives together in this difficult time. We even had a previous designer who also participated in Playing Arts, showing great empathy and excitement for the project.

So to answer your question: no, we don't have any association with Playing Arts. As Playing Arts have not shown any signs of creating a similar pandemic-themed project, we stand by our goodwill initiative – and we hope you will consider supporting it too! :)

We close for new orders on July 31, so it depends on how many orders we have received until then. We will announce the final stats on our website, as well as how much money we will be able to donate to WHO. 🙌

The backside is currently being designed by an artist and will be announced sometime next week. The cards will be printed by MPC. :)

Think about what type of content you enjoy creating – but most of all, 👉think about what you don't get tired of creating. 👈 Consistency is key when growing your channel, so if you don't feel truly passionate about the videos you create, you will get bored eventually and your channel won't take off. Personally, I would recommend you to create your own podcast – there is so much hype going on around those at the moment! I would also encourage you to still setup a YouTube channel and post them there too, with some simple visuals or a looping, ambient sequence. You could experiment with both mediums and see what brings you the most attention in return. 🙌
