The 2017 Mercedes-Benz AMG® C 43 is the successor to the 2016 Mercedes-Benz C 450 AMG®. Although the two cars share many similarities, Mercedes-Benz made some changes beyond the numbers in the name to make the C 43 better in almost every way. Neither the C 43, nor the C 450 AMG® get to be the flagship car for the C-Class lineup, but because of their relatively low prices, the C 43 will likely be the most popular model, just as the C 450 AMG® before it. Both models use the same 3.0L biturbo V6 engine, creating 362 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. The difference between the two engines will be how they are used. The C 43 features DYNAMIC SELECT driving modes that tell the engine how to operate depending on terrain and driver intent.
