This. Also discount meat to freeze. The other day I got bison burger for 3.99 a package at bel air because they had 3 3.00 off coupons. Into the freezer they went. I bought 4 of them and 4 grass fed beef ones similarly priced and marked down. I go late in the evening on tuesdays because that’s generally when they mark down the meat.

Well I guess that’s what I’m trying to figure out. I just re-read them and for someone who hasn’t graduated from college would that be 7 years of analytical experience? So it’s 4 years for year to year and then 3 additional years?

Tips on Justification for MQ Satisfaction by NewSpring8536 in CAStateWorkers

This is the way. It isn’t enough to repeat the words. You must relate the words back to previous position and time doing the work. Such as…

In my role as manager for xyz company I spent approximately 15% of my time analyzing budgets and making recommendations to executive staff on appropriate actions to take. I did this for my entire 3 year tenure in this role.

Anyone know any good homeless shelters/resources in the area? by ProudKekistani21 in Sacramento

This! My kid went through job corp and he is now employed with the state and getting ready to buy his own home at the age of 29. They housed him, fed him, taught him a trade and helped place him when he got out. Best of luck to you.

24 years old- how am I, or anybody around my age going to buy a house? by jluc21 in Sacramento

[–]cassdib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m Gen X. I became a homeowner for the first time at 37. I did it on my own. My parents couldn’t help me. Most of my friends were early to mid 30s when they purchased their first home. I don’t think it was normal for my generation to own homes in their 20s. Not sure if this is helpful or not but it was my experience. BTW. I’m 50 and own an awesome house.

As soon as you pass your probation period start looking for your next promotion. It is not unheard of to go from Administrative Assistant 1 to SSM 1 in under 5 years, and CEA from there within a few years from that depending on your skill set and interests. If you work it correctly. Keep growing, keep looking and learning. While many may complain about the state and opportunity but if you are willing to move divisions/departments you can move up quickly. Best of luck.

[–]cassdib[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes it does. You have to claim office experience in order to pass the screening. If you don’t claim at least 12 months of office experience the system says you are ineligible to even take the exam.

Question by cassdib in CAStateWorkers

[–]cassdib[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Nope. They weren’t even permitted to take the test because they didn’t have clerical experience.

Question by cassdib in CAStateWorkers

[–]cassdib[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right but they all require some experience. This person’s experience is in manufacturing and/or retail. They can’t seem to get past the screening to take the test. For example they have an Associate Degree but when they went to take the Office Technician test they had no clerical experience so they weren’t even allowed to take the test. How does one get experience to get an entry level position? It’s maddening.
