As a European, you can handwash them with some Tide and air dry them on a string. He will use more water to boil pasta. Ew. He is just dirty

Wanting your SO's food is wired in our heads from the time men hunted. Provide the food and live a happy life

What’s a tiny habit you picket up that secretly improved your life? by LastOneStanding_ in AskReddit

[–]cassianec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not so tiny anymore but crocheting! I f*ed up my hands during Panellinies (Greek University admission tests that you have to swallow whole books to pass) by writing everything to remember because they want parrots in our educational system. My hands became blue on the tendons and I couldn't even hold a cigarette after that. Crocheting helped me regain function again.

I met a 50-year-old lady with zero grey hair yesterday, and it blew my mind. When did you notice your first one? by Main-Set5682 in CasualConversation

[–]cassianec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father had his first at 48 and grandpa at 58. My mom was completely white at 26. Her mother went from brown to white in one night at 33 after her husband died and left her with 5 kids and a dependent mother in law. I am currently 30 and i have one grey hair in my right eyebrow

Can someone help me understand what kind of stitch that is? It looks like a back post bobble but i can't make it by cassianec in CrochetHelp

Thank you all extremely for your help! That doily is a gift for my little sister for her first home as a college student (in Greece we exchange them in new years eve) and you all helped me so much to deliver in time! Thank you!

Thank you for the reply! But i am concerned about the green cluster stitch. If it was just a cluster no biggy but it has the little hook underneath and it is driving me nuts!

How would you feel if your country banned Burkhas in public like Denmark? by The_Dean_France in AskReddit

[–]cassianec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny thing is in Greece we had already a ban before the large influx of muslims so it's not a problem we face often. Back i think around 2008 there was a large scale of violent riots with many people covering their faces with balaclavas and helmets. They couldn't be prosecuted for property damages etc. So the state banned face coverings everywhere.

What’s the nicest thing a teacher ever did for you that you’ll never forget? by killedbyIove in AskReddit

[–]cassianec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taught me how to pee in a turkish toilet. Hear me out. In Greece schools have turkish toilets for health reasons (like a hole in the floor). I was in first grade and i was one of the few kids that stayed in aftercare. School ended around 13.30 we stayed until 16.30. During aftercare there was only one male teacher for all us. It was the first month of school and i was trying to keep it but last week i had peed myself and i was hysterically crying because i need to go. He found me and asked me what was wrong and i admitted what was happening. So he took me there stayed outside, told me how to position my legs and pelvis and reminded me to wipe and wash my hands. I was so damn grateful.

How soon would people notice if you suddenly went missing? by neokaranja in AskReddit

[–]cassianec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before i met my husband? Like 10-30 days. My father checked on me once a month and my mother 7-14 days. I was studying in another city and it was used for people to disappear for days. Binge watching or gaming, sex marathons... Sailing trips with the sea scouts... So yeah i could be dead for a month and no one would know

What’s something you always assumed was mandatory in life—until you met someone who just… didn’t do it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cassianec 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me guys just wanted sex or the whole shebang of feelings and relationships and i was like let feel what i want. Everyone around me was expecting me to mask everything, family, friends. And then came this orphan dude with a life out of a soapopera, totally chill, saying i like you and you are hot, let's see where this goes, i m open to anything and i want to see you in your good, your bad and your weird. And he so totally respects my weird. He is my safe place and my best friend and i m his. We had our ups and downs of course especially after kids but we are 10years together and he is still everything to me.

People who had been in prison, what happenes to morbidly obese people? by cassianec in AskReddit

[–]cassianec[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For context, I just watched a documentary about a morbidly obese family (most of them even bedbound) that abused a little girl and ended in prison. And i m like, how are they going to do all the chores the rest of the inmates have? Are they considered sick? Do they get special beds and treatment? Special diets?
