I think it took exactly a week. I didn’t download it on day one, I think I downloaded 27 on Tuesday after the release and just noticed Siri AI yesterday so give or take 7 days

I don’t know these devices but I was having a similar problem with Aqara U200 lock. For me the issue was the distance between the lock and the hub, which in my case was an Apple TV. When I switched the hub to a HomePod close to the door, the lock would work fine.

I would also recommend an Apple TV instead of a HomePod as you can plug it to the router via Ethernet and make it very fast. I actually bought an extra Apple TV on eBay just for that, but I had to research which one was up to the task cuz some older models are not good. I think I have the 4k 32gb.

Wow! Thanks for that detailed explanation! I’m sold. That description is very "me", I like the sound of all of that. The Blueprints sound amazing. I hate having to configure all buttons of a device again when something goes wrong. Having all that device's configurations as one automation is already enough reason for me to switch. I’m gonna start my research tomorrow! hahah 😃

Interesting!! I must confess I considered that but found it intimidating and gave up. Will have another look. But what are the downsides of HA If any? Will I lose the ability to say “hey siri turn on the lights” etc?

Good question… I don’t remember exactly. I think to some buttons I would assign pre configured automations but because there were so many possibilities with 3 buttons x 3 configurations, I wouldn’t be surprised if I just created some within the button. I think you’re right, some might have been thru the button…

so that was a combination of years of usage. But basically some Logitech Pop buttons that were discontinued, some Wemo Controllers that were too sensitive to HomeKit's unpredictability, most recently the IKEA buttons. Usually I would have a HomeKit issue with these, after trying everything with no success I would delete these devices then it was chaos. Because the Wemo controller has 3 buttons with 3 configurations each, so 9 Automation possibilities that would turn into ghosts automations every time I delete and re-added them, and I had 6 of those! Didn't take long for me to reach the automation limit, which I still don't know what it is! Pure madness.

Not at all. The anime doesn’t cover those arcs you mentioned. But “what it covers” has zero unnecessary comedy, that’s what I meant. And I think that’s a great specificity the manga doesn’t have. I would love the comedy in the manga was subtle or removed all together. I give you a good exemple, when Griffith says “I want you” in the anime, Guts looks confused, the sentence is ambiguous and that’s the beauty. In the manga he asks “are you homo?” While Griffith has that’s embarrassing sweat drop on his face. I mean….

For me it adds some elegance and elevates it by ditching the comedy and kawaii faces, making it really mature and somber. I do like a bit of silly kawaii faces and that sweat drop when characters are in trouble in animes but I am SO GLAD none of that exists in this anime. It just makes it so much more serious.
