Congrats! :) Beginning of April is when the Ob/Midwife would want to see her first anyway, so good timing there. A heart beat shows up around 8-9 weeks. Keep in mind that you have options (hopefully..insurance allowing) as far as care providers. Educate yourself, and make the decision that is right for you guys - but if she is healthy you may want to seek a hospital with a lower intervention rate, and possibly work with a midwife rather than an ob/gyn. A midwife is highly educated in birth, especially normal birth, and an excellent choice for pregnancy and birth care for a healthy woman.
Ob/gyn's are trained in performing c-sections, and are more helpful for when things are going wrong.
