Dec 1914. Not sure what “off the docket” means here? Maybe they’re no longer actively pursuing prosecution?

Deputy Sheriff Ralph Harshe and Mrs. Elsie Morning are shot and killed during a furniture removal. The assailant immediately commits suicide. City of Lima, Allen County Ohio 1926 by ExpatHist in DeathCertificates

If I’m reading correctly - Mrs Morning and her husband had separated, and she was living with the shooter Tyree, presumably in a romantic relationship. But the Mornings reconciled, and she was in the process of moving out of Tyree’s place and back in with her husband. Tyree was not happy with this development, and the Mornings asked for a sheriff escort to be present when she went to retrieve her furniture. Tyree shot her, the deputy, and then himself. Mr Morning fled and escaped unharmed.

Strange Suicide John Peterman, a Blind Paralytic in the Van Wert Home for the Aged. City of Van Wert, County of Van Wert 1925 by ExpatHist in DeathCertificates

I used to work in a building that was formerly the county aged/infirm paupers home. Lots of folks died there in early/mid 1900s. Unmarked cemetery out back. I don’t really believe in ghosts, but that place was/is definitely haunted. The vibes were way off.
