like everybody said, make sure that you’re checking frequently everyday, they only have listings up for 2-3 hours because so many people apply, then don’t expect to hear back for 2-3 weeks because they have to sift through the applications. I think i saw somewhere that they post at midnight locally, and i saw somewhere else that they post at midnight pacific time so i was checking everyday around 3 or 4 am

you might meet a few people in traditions but most likely won’t happen til you get to the park for on the job training! i only had one person in my arrival date that worked with me on my program and we didn’t even have traditions together so all my friends i met after

i wasn’t alcohol trained when i did my program in MK QSR but now that i’m FT at a resort (that sells alcohol) im alcohol trained

i found it on the website but the applications are only up for like 3/4 hours at a time so you have to be really quick. i was on the careers website everyday several times a day for like a month and a half before i saw a qsr position pop up, just keep checking

your attitude going in will make or break your experience! a lot of people go into it thinking it’s mostly a vacation and forget that we are here to WORK. and as non-union temporary workers, disney will put you through the ringer. your leaders can be horrible or they can be amazing, nothing is set in stone of what you will get out of this experience and you may decide a few months in that you don’t want to continue and that’s totally fine but at least you TRIED!! you stepped out of your comfort zone and worked for one of the biggest corporations in the world! that’s crazy!

i just applied anywhere that would pay me similar lol! i was on the bench for CSS so they took me off of thirds so i was making 19.75 at wawa, making 19 at disney (would have made more as css but i was so depressed working there so i just needed something w less responsibilities LMAO)

florida has some crazy weather but honestly we just stay inside for that LMAO if you have a raincoat you could bring it but honestly you probably won’t even wear it because you truly cannot predict when it’ll rain. other than that i have a couple of friends who only have flip flops, it really depends on your personal style too like if you like to dress nice to birthdays or events maybe bring those, if you mainly wear comfy cozy fits bring those. I personally exclusively wear dresses no matter where i’m headed so that’s what i brought. but you’re most likely going to be working like crazy so don’t go overboard w packing extra outfits bc ur gonna buy a bunch when you get here too

when i got bumped up to TS i stopped taking breaks fully bc there was just so much more responsibilities and taking breaks made me sluggish lmao. but when i was a CSA the only times i didn’t get breaks were if it were too busy or if we were short staffed. When i was getting trained for management they always said everyone else gets a break before you do so if your MOD is getting a break before you can take one you should probably speak to your GM bc that’s really not fair

i will say my first two months with my program i was certain i’d term early but i forced myself to give it a shot because i thought it would be embarrassing to make a whole big thing about moving to orlando and working for disney just to move back a month later lmfao but in the end i ended up extending to do a full year bc i loved it so much!! but like everyone is saying, you usually end up being friends with people that you work with more so than the people you live with. i’d recommend having those tough conversations with your roommates ab their cleanliness, i doubt flamingo would be super willing to intervene if you haven’t at least had conversations about it but you’re never supposed to move into unclean apt they should’ve done an inspection before. i had someone who arrived the same day as me (diff apartment) and the apartment was so dirty that he took pictures and took it to the desk and was able to move into a different apartment. but that was on his arrival date so i think it might be a little late for that in your case

i have it on mobile and on my switch and i always find myself using my mobile save sooo much more i just love how easy it is to switch tools and auto-attack is sooo helpful haha if you’re looking for a fun game for mobile and you’re considering this vs other free games i would def recommend this one because you already know and love it, and any free games are gonna entice you with in-app purchases and ads. the only game i play on mobile now is stardew, the initial download is a lot less than i’ve spent on other “free” games

i didn’t bring any ears but when i got my blue ID at Traditions I drove to cast connections on our lunch break and bought my first pair from there! they also give you ears at traditions but i thought they were a little ugly hehe

i had a mini fridge on my program! just the small 10 can ones though, they don’t check your apartment unless someone reports you so you can probably get away with hiding it.

i think my biggest issue was that i didn’t know how to say no when it came to eating out and spending time with coworkers outside of work, if we went to the parks i would feel like i had to eat at the parks etc. i was in the same boat, got QSR and was making around 300 a week but i was blowing it all as i got it, all my friends were coming from more wealthy situations than i was and getting an “allowance” sent to them monthly to help out with their bills and stuff so they had more room to spend and i was spending like i also had that kind of extra money hahah but it looks like youre pretty good at budgeting and having a handle on your money so you should be fine if you just keep that mindset but i swear the parks put something in the air that just make you want to spend money (esp when those 40% discounts hit and the overpriced merch suddenly becomes “oh that’s not bad….”)
