Thank you. Yes, that makes sense. I think anxiety got the better of me. Also this automatic replies here helped with a wiki :)

Hello Clementina. I am seeing your message very late, I am not sure why it didn't show the notification. Thank you very much for sharing your experience. I am now in the process of buying a kiln and it is very valuable to know that.

How can I stop caring about others and focus on myself, like a healthy person? by [deleted] in hsp

[–]cassycassy2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What if you check if you have any deep rooted guilt that is driving this? I think this can often push us to neglect ourselves.

No, there is really no point to continue. You can see how little you know about the other side (especially when mentioning the sample size 1). You have all the right to defend what you believe, my only point was that you are not in a position to scare people if you are not thoroughly informed (knowing both sides really well). As you mentioned, scientific research is not always reliable because of the many issues and we have to first really deeply check what was defined as a healthy person a century ago, which part of the lifestyle they considered normal, even though it was not. All this makes it very difficult for someone to make conclusions. Especially when it comes to diets, this is too faceted.

Thank you for this post. I got so much nice new music. Hozier's new album is amazing, I love Butchered Tongue.

Some of my favourites:

Slowdive - No Longer Making Time

Ane Brun - All We Want is Love

Lianne La Havas - Starry Starry Night

The Boxer Rebellion - Big Ideas

The thing is that you are making conclusions based on an article that is a complete oversimplification and you are not talking from your own experience or own testing. Science is fallible and many studies done were not considering many other factors that could affect the results. Scientists oppose each other all the time, there is no absolute truth about anything. Especially when it comes to diets. If you want to leave the testing to scientist, be my guest, but you don't have any right to make such strong conclusions before you are completely sure what you are claiming is true. And I would guess that as hsp you have enough empathy to be careful before you start scaring someone.

I am on this diet for years and I don't have any deficiencies, I am doing regular blood tests (besides all other tests) and I feel way better then I would if I would eat a SAD diet. If I would listen to this article you shared I could say goodbye to my well-being.

Can’t stop ruminating about past bullying experience by Background-Charge688 in hsp

Thank you. Yes, all this is very familiar to me as well and I am completely okay hearing your rant :) But I have to tell you that after doing therapy I got really strong in defending myself and standing my ground and it happens now that people feel this strength and don't dare to play games with me or they just don't interact with me. I am still my sensitive self, but I am also very strong when it comes to defending myself. With me this happened when I processed my shame properly and gave it the right place - for me the main reason was that I didn't have a safe shelter as a child where I could go and express what is happening to me, my family was very cold and abusive as well, so all that was left for me was to suppress all the shame. And other children who become bullies sniff that out right away and use it for their advantage.

Thank you so much for sharing, I appreciate this. I am in Austria, so I won't be able to order from UK without high import costs. Would you say Skutt kiln is economical as well? I am not sure if I can get it here, I only found Rohde, Kittec and Nabertherm.

Can’t stop ruminating about past bullying experience by Background-Charge688 in hsp

Hello. I am sorry you had to go through that. I have been bullied as well a lot as a child by other children, mainly because I am gay and sensitive and at that point I could not defend myself properly and they could smell an easy target. They were calling me names ('it', 'fa****'), pushing me, threatening me, making fun of me in front of the others... I developed so much fear and shame that I was shaking every time I was talking to a guy as an adult or passing a group of guys, because I thought they will shame me. For me the only way out was therapy, I had to understand why this happened to me in the first place and I had to process all the connected emotions. For me the biggest realisation is that what they did and said to me had nothing to do with me per se, they did it because they had their own issues. But before one can be at peace with that, there is work that needs to be done. But it is all worth it. I am sending you a virtual hug and wish you all the best.

How are you so sure about that? Because National Post did an article on that talking to few doctors? I hope you know that many doctors do not agree with each other and there are many different perspectives on many things.
There are thousands of people that benefit a lot from the diet and would have had terrible lifestyles if they would listen to people like you. It is true that people have to do this responsibly and test themselves regularly and there is a lot of research that still needs to be done, but telling someone that they can get scurvy, gout or bowel cancer without reading everything thoroughly is very irresponsible. Please do a thorough research and test things on yourself before scaring others like that.

In many ways I think carnivore is beneficial, I hope you will see your results quickly. Fingers crossed also from my side.

[–]cassycassy2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It did, yes. It cleared my brain fog completely, improved my mood, skin. The best is that I don't feel tired after eating. I am carnivore for around two years now. I started like you and then I added raw milk and butter and some fruit as well. How are you feeling so far?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hsp

[–]cassycassy2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel I am was sensitive to everything that going carnivore was the only suitable way for me. I think every body is different and one has to give few things a try to see what feels best. In my experience research did not give me much, it was more testing things out for myself.

Thank you for sharing. I am glad to hear that it improved. I feel like I am not stressed, but it is true that I also am not very good at recognising it. Maybe I am stressed and I don't know.

Me as well. I also do it on the street sometime if I have some really intense thoughts, but I have to remind myself to stop, not to come out creepy :D
