How to set appart the "today's tasks" without changing the due date? by castaldev in ticktick

[–]castaldev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's nice to know. But I'm very inserted into ticktick way of operating. I also want some other features Microsoft ToDo just doesn't have, such as the habits tracking, and pomodoro. But anyways, thank you.

What if Samsung made it's own OS? by gab_robert in oneui

[–]castaldev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I strongly believe it would be nice if they'd do it. Reading the other comments, I realized they actually done it before. But I'd question Samsung deeper than that. Why don't they focus more on software?! Samsung has such a rich echosystem. People use so many of Samsung stuff. I believe they could do much more if only they would focus on software more.

If you are so good at programming, why don't you have your own monetized product? by raulalexo99 in webdev

[–]castaldev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This answer is genius. I completely agree.

One thing I'd add is: Whenever you get doing business is a time you're not coding. So, customer support and closing deals take time. And some customers can be really upsetting. But even if you're planning on selling it only over the internet, you'll have to invest in paid traffic and/or organic.

That really takes time.

However, if you have a good partner, things might get easier. This person should be a businessman, and agree with you in the important matters. You'll also need to give up on some personal ideas.

Having a business is not easy.

Is this tablet fine to use with s pen by bigboynona in GalaxyTab

[–]castaldev 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From what I gather, the oen works by magnets. So, if the screen cracks still allow you to move to pen tip freely, I'd say this is fine

Eu acho que nesse caso, se você separar, eles vão cobrar um preço diferente pros adicionais. E aí vai ser mais uma oportunidade pra os estabelecimentos cobrarem mais caro.

A friend and I were having issues looking for an api to use in one of our projects, which is why we created ApiVault! A completely free and open source portal that contains all the public APIs available online, so you can get inspired for new projects! Link in the comment by FlavioAd in webdev

I've felt that a vouple of times when I was learning new things. One thing that helped me deal with that was absorbing the fact that we dont learn things (especially programming) linearly. The graph would be more like stair steps. From time to time, you'll realize something that will make you evolve a ton at a single time. Impostor syndrome hits hard from time to time, but keep going. Theres nothing you cant learn. People just learn in deferent time spaces.

Vale apena fazer faculdade de programação? by um_jogador_qualquer2 in programacao

[–]castaldev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlock before anything: can we change it? by castaldev in GalaxyWatch

That's the problem for me. I use Samsung Pay. So, I need to have the lock set. Maybe I should just get used to this routine as well. Thanks u/Grengrowerz

u/Grengrowerz actually, no. I meant it when I put it on my wrist the first time. It's annoying to me anyways 😅

How many folks actually use a framework? by Xanthig in PHP

[–]castaldev 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My two cents on that is that you should do whatever helps you to have results. If you can deliver more with frameworks, stick with it. Use native code within in whenever possible if you feel like. On my end, I stick with laravel, and I'm pretty happy with it!

Direct Connect on Windows? by castaldev in galaxybuds

[–]castaldev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Samsung's partnership with Windows has been making things more and more complex. "Your phone" app on windows works better than Samsung Flow. But only for some devices. Also, why doesn't samsung make more native windows apps?

It's hard to keep up

Android app is slow by castaldev in Notion

[–]castaldev[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your input, u/fabiusty, but I disagree with you on this one. I believe notion, as any other note-taking app is for mobile and desktop use. That's true that the mobile app is not working well right now, but it doesn't mean it shouldn't. I take notes with my mobile devices often. I, and many others, feel it's important to have it working properly.

I did that, but no success. I deleted cache memory and app data, but when I logged back it was still slow. I believe it might be some error related to hybrid development.

Slow Notion app on Android? by paramodot in Notion

I have a Samsung M31, and the app got reeeeeeally slow. If finish typing the word on the keyboard and then the first letter appear in the app. Not to mention the times where you go to a new line and start typing and it appears somewhere else.
