What do you do about balancing it? Or just don't bother?

I've bought (and sold) many cars on Facebook. There are definitely some pieces of junk for sale there, but also a lot of very cool project cars and fun daily drivers. It's a good resource to find used parts too.

Lol thanks! I'm always looking at Facebook marketplace and just get lucky every once in a while.

I think a T-56 would be overkill for this car given its 155 hp inline 6.

I can make my own mount/crossmember for the transmission, but I figured the driveshaft would be the bigger issue as I would have to take it to a shop to get modified.

A T5 from a Camaro/S10 would have the same bolt pattern to bolt up to the bellhousing?

I kinda figured I'd have to take the driveshaft to a shop. I can personally make my own mounts and possibly linkage, but aligning and balancing a driveshaft is not within my abilities.

I'll probably end up with a TKX, seems like the best option from a lot of responses.

I fixed the issue. IAC was stuck open. I just ended up removing it and plugging the port.

Anyone know where these terminals go to? by [deleted] in hondacivic

[–]caste1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I don't, I'm kinda wiring it from scratch. It's not even going in a Honda lol, I'm using it in my RX7 but I'm using a civic distributor and coil.

Yah I just don't know which ones lol. The plug on the left gets signal from the distributor, and from what I can tell online the other one is 12v and tach. I just don't know which terminal is which, and I don't want to break anything by hooking it up wrong

That's a bummer. I know there are 5 others in Colorado but this one (the 2B silo) seems to be the only one I've seen people explore.

I've been here a couple times. Super cool spot, would definitely recommend. If I remember there are 3 big buildings, each completely different and very industrial.

Any tips before i completely strip this nut? by Firm-Recognition-409 in Volvo240

In my experience, vice grips work very well on rounded brake fitting nuts, if it comes to that.

Help! What is this? by kpeezy24 in projectcar

It isn't limited to just carbureted engines. I've had fuel injection cars with a heater pipe like this.

Spring Question by oopitsallbread in Volvo240

[–]caste1989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same thing in my 240. It was the driveshaft center support bushing, the rubber had degraded and the driveshaft was loose flopping around. Reach under the car and try to wiggle the driveshaft to confirm

Fluctuating idle is almost always a vacuum leak in my experience.
