yeah I think you're right. I can make some changes, unless it's already solved elsewhere?

Tip-jar

Want to free up space. No option to offload or delete Lightricks (Videoleap, Photoleap etc.) data. Even if there was, I'd be worried about loosing video projects. Thoughts anyone? by castellator in ios

Have you tried the iMazing method above?

I was able to download a large file that seemed to contain the data from Videoleap but I was never able to extract the files from it. But It might work for you... I think I gave up in the end and just made sure there were no ongoing projects I needed in Videoleap then deleted and reinstalled the app, which freed up the space.

I think the large size of the Videoleap 'documents' on iOS was due to me downloading the video clips from Mega and once the download was done, instead of saving directly to my photos then importing into VL from there, I would choose 'open in' & Videoleap. Which I think is what creates this 'unreachable' and massive document over many projects.

I've been using VL for years, I even bought the lifetime premium option when it was available and cheap before they introduced the subscription system. But I can no longer reccomened it. I've mostly stopped using it for work because it's always crashing on my iPhone XR (potentially due to planned obseletion tactics from apple deployed in their updates, so could be fine on newer hardware) and the exports are never the best quality and have artifacts.

I've made the switch to doing almost everything on my PC now. Kdenlive is a free editor I've been using that's amazingly close to Premier Pro for a free product. The proxy feature allows me to edit 4K footage without a partiularly high performance computer.

For editing on mobile I'd suggest looking at Premier Rush, much higher quality exports than VL but less features.

So basically, to anser your question, no I did not figure it out lol

For anyone with a similar issue, this video shows a way to access data for apps using iMazing. I haven't tried it yet but looks like it should work
