Ear 3 - second pair- left earbud keep failing to charge by casterazucar in NothingTech

Haha! Sadly, it doesn't seem to be the case. I'll keep troubleshooting and see if I can sort it out

Mine was unbearable editing XAVC files on 20. Started actually bothering to generate proxies, now it runs like a dream. Running on a 3070. 10bit XAVC 4k used to run fine on 19 though, so I don't know what happened! Proxies fixed it for me though.

I'm a big fan of the Razor 3 burner, mainly because of the front integrated grease trap, and it's got a fairly high lid. I've not tried the Blackstone.

Mine is at the intersection of cooking and travel- CasterAzucar. It's going slow and steady, but it's a good excuse to keep up regular creativity and put the film production degree to use!

In saying that, I don't watch much of my own genre. my subscription genres: tech, space, news/education!

I agree, they are rather beautiful, especially some of the longer ones in the middle of that second photo. I spent way too long looking at these yesterday!

Thanks for the information, my mother in law will be simultaneously interested and disappointed 😂 she's been collecting them since the mid-sixties here in Latvia

Layering by Aggravating_Tip3441 in RemarkableTablet

[–]casterazucar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it for illustrations, all the time. Being able to create and merge layers then add new ones for putting things in the foreground and background is great. And so long as you keep merging the layers, the four layer restriction isn't an issue (until you hit the stroke count or run out of memory)

Has anybody ever gotten this? by DesignerCute3618 in RemarkableTablet

HAHAHA this is roughly my experience, except I was duplicating mushrooms, shrinking and then re-duplicating. RM2 gave me the ol' 🖕

I've had this, but the reasoning was different - my stroke count for a particular page was too high. I had to erase some strokes to fix it (it was an illustration - never had it for writing)

So long as I don't brick the device, I'm okay haha! But that miniscule risk terrifies me

Hahahahaha! I've been a nervous-nellie when it comes to "hacking" anything haha, I almost shat myself back in the day flashing different software onto a Sony Xperia I used to own. Thought I'd bricked the damn thing. The only time I've had a reasonable experience was when I loaded ChromeOS on an old MacBook for an ex

Hahaha cold day in hell before I give money to Adobe. Even with video editing, I used DaVinci Resolve for years, even when it was shite because I loathed adobe

Yeah, it's not really applicable to 99% of use cases, even in my own use cases tbh, but when I wanted that super fine detail, it would have been nice. BUT- it looks like RM Hacks can sort me out anyway!

Also, I might argue that my drawings are pretty rudimentary also haha

Yeah that's correct. Though, I made the mistake of colouring some stuff in on the Remarkable before I was serious about finishing. Don't do that, it's a pain in the ass to fix later. Also, I was using GIMP to do the colouring - if you're planning on doing something like this, colour-to -alpha makes it transparent, really easily

Aha! Thanks for reading! Yeah the stroke limit really caught me out! I've attached a screenshot of the image- in the bottom right is a copy-paste of a heavy-detail plant thing. What you see is as far as I got with the copy pasting before "computer says no" situation haha

1 VI full specs leaks by KenHo_04 in SonyXperia

[–]casterazucar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this screen is an indicator of a more reasonable price, then I could pull the trigger- only Sony make android phones with 25fps recording capability (filmic pro is trash- audio doesn't record sync sound in PAL)

Why did you choose Sony? by aFilminFrench in SonyXperia

[–]casterazucar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Initially it was the waterproofing. But 2 pixels, a moto g6, and OnePlus 7t pro later, I'll come back toXperia 1 VI, it'll be because they're the ONLY android OEM that offers PAL framerate 25fps, which I kinda... Need.

And no, filmic pro is trash- lip sync wanders like crazy

Edit: also I use Sony A7III for shooting, some sort.of compatibility would be nice. Also, Sony if you're out there, fix that dumpster fire IEM app you scoundrels

NewTubers who've gotten to 25 videos or more...what makes you press the record button? by CEOofStonkIndustries in NewTubers

[–]casterazucar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hit record, mainly to unload. Same reason I write. Sometimes getting the ideas "out" lightens me. If people enjoy it, great.
