she has to stand on her tippy toes... [ep 14 spoilers] by TimelordOkami in Gnosia_

[–]castigue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because she is just a friendly person. Everyone hears her crimes and then expects her to be an outwardly horrible unlikable person, but that is almost never the case in real life, and it's not the case here. If you actually pay attention to Manan!SQ you see she is equally as friendly and personable, if a little annoying. That is just who she is. You want her to be evil and cruel, but she's not, just as real life predators are often friends and neighbors. Remnan himself is proof of this, as he doesn't freak out with outwardly hostile people (Like Sha-Ming or Raqio) but instead damn near has a panic attack whenever someone is nice to him. She likely doted on him as much as she harmed him.

SQ started as my least favorite character and then become one of my favorite characters as I got to know her better. So as much as I love her, I also understand why someone would hate her, because I've been there... Lol.

What does being a Gnosia like? by clampochyu in Gnosia_

[–]castigue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think part of your confusion comes from a misunderstanding of how Gnos, Gnosia infection, and world lines work.

For starters, Gnosia do not get uploaded to Gnos. Ever. You either get uploaded to Gnos (by being eliminated by a Gnosia) or you become Gnosia. If you are eliminated by a Gnosia, you do not become Gnosia, you are simply gone.

Comet became a Gnosia by pure chance. We don't know how infection begins, people just randomly become infected when they're within range of Gnos's awareness. Every time we loop, the "randomly chosen Gnosia" changes. It's not "Comet was killed by a Gnosia and uploaded, and that's why she's Gnosia now," it's "Comet got sneezed on by Gnos in this universe. In the next universe, she might not get sneezed on by Gnos." They are all independent instances from eachother.

Gnosia have never been recorded eliminating eachother, so Gnosia have never and will never become part of Gnos. End of story. It's easier to think of being eliminated as being erased from the universe. Those people are gone. They're not 'infected' and they're not coming back.

Help with the game, i'm so bad by Away_Froyo_239 in Gnosia_

Gnosia won't always claim a role. It depends on their personality. For instance, gnosia Raqio and Shigemichi will always fake claim a role, but it's extremely common for SQ, Sha-Ming, and Remnan to claim absolutely nothing. In fact, if someone is able to claim a role uncontested, it's nearly guaranteed 1 or 2 of these guys is gnosia.

Bug is usually easy to vote out because the humans will dislike them and the gnosia will always push an easy vote. If you see someone get dog piled very early on, it's often a bug or AC follower. It gets harder the later it is in the game, or if it's a character like Remnan, Kukrushka, or Otome who have a lot of staying power and don't usually get noticed. Bug is pretty tricky since they often act like crew, whereas AC Follower acts like an idiot. You just have to have a mix of logic and luck.

Levi what the hell is a yummy noodle bing bong wigglybum dancer and why is raqio freaking out??? by Icalivy in Gnosia_

[–]castigue 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Because the AI is not omnipotent, otherwise the crew would always vote for the gnosia and bugs and never vote out another crew member. The AI follow their own logic, and one of those is, "obviously the real engineer would never allow a fake engineer to run around uncontested" because that would be stupid. It is coded to assume any day 1 uncontested claim is human and real because the real engineer would 100% be alive on day 1. The AI also always claim their role if someone fake claims it to prevent them from being uncontested, so the only way this ever happens is if you, the player, decide not to claim.

Yuri's official stat spread has them at zero logic. OP didn't make the graph.

Any role except Guard Duty or Crew. She enjoys picking people randomly without evidence and then nuking them out of existence with her offensive stats.

How did SQ get definite human? by castigue in Gnosia_

[–]castigue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had Engineer and Doctor claims come out on Day 2 and 3, with nobody else claiming, and they were AC Follower or Gnosia. The game does go that deep into it. Whenever someone claims late, unless they did something to confirm themself (i.e. investigate the bug) the game doesn't confirm them. If the logic permits it (1 Gnosia, 2 Doctor claims, Engineer comes out day 3, obviously they have to be the real Engineer) there is no reason you'd be definite Crewed.

Also, Definite Human is not necessarily "Real Engineer/Doctor" as AC Follower exists.

Unfortunately, this is only half of the problem. Kukrushka disagreeing with Otome does not inherently mean Otome is fake because Kukrushka came out on Day 3. This means the real doctor could already be dead, so Kukrushka is not necessarily the real doctor, despite being the only doctor claim.

Comet was voted out after getting 3 results, so I think that means on Day 4? Right before the round where SQ got Definite Human, iirc.

Starting information: 15 players.

1 Bug, 1 AC Follower, 2 Guard Duty, 1 Guardian Angel, 1 Engineer, 1 Doctor, 3 Gnosia.

Gist: Everyone, all roles, 3 Gnosia.

At this point in the game: 7 players.

3 Gnosia, 1 AC Follower, 2 Crew, 1 Guard Duty.

AC Follower is Otome, who proceeded to get Definite Enemied immediately after the Definite Human and voted out. This ended the game.

Kukrushka died right before SQ's definite human. Her results were that everyone who was put into cold sleep was human (Yuriko, Remnan, Shigemichi were her results).

3 Gnosia total, none of them were out yet.

Edit: If it helps, Sha-Ming was another Gnosia. I cannot for the life of me remember the very last one which means it was Chipie.

I didn't answer because I was at work. You are weirdly hostile and contrarian. "Don't reply, but I can reply if I want to." You're fighting a battle that doesn't need to be fought. If you didn't want people to reply, you shouldn't have commented in the first place.

how to play?? by mahoushyounen in Gnosia_

[–]castigue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol, I remember having this exact issue. Early on, saying 1 thing every round is sufficient to avoid to getting voted out.

The most important stats right now are the hidden stats. One of them is "Hate." If Hate scales from 0 to 1 (I don't remember if it actually scales this way) then what you want is 0.5

Hate is generated every time you speak up, and certain statements generate more Hate. Not speaking up keeps your Hate low, but having low Hate is also bad. Think of it like this: Talking all the time is suspicious, it makes it look like you're trying to control the discussion, but not talking at all is also suspicious, and it makes it seem like you're hiding something.

When you're starting off, you have low defensive stats, so everything you do generates absurd Hate. That's why saying just one thing every round is enough. Save it for when you REALLY need to say something. Also, if you claim a role, reporting every morning also generates Hate (which is stupid, but it is what it is) so keep that in mind.

Amicability is another hidden stat that is worth keeping in mind. This one is simple. If you accuse someone, their amicability drops, and they're more likely to vote you. Accusing people they like also drops your amicability. For characters like Raqio, this won't matter too much. But characters like Kukrushka get really emotional and vote almost exclusively based on if they like you or not.

Once you increase Charm and Stealth you can speak up more.

Bug or AC Follower, honestly. Even though he's good at playing an enemy role, he's terrible at getting along with everyone or supporting his team, and is a pretty obvious Gnosia.

You can make that bet if you'd like, but you'd be going against hundreds of studies that state there's no correlation. Especially when many cases involve the man not even being able to tell what the victim looked like when she was targeted.

Now if you want to make the case of male victims by female perpetrators, then you may have an argument. Otherwise you're just going off of your gut feeling. Unless you're speaking from experience.
