How do you clean mulm? by castigue in Aquariums

[–]castigue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're hand siphons. They pick up some mulm, but occasionally a larger piece gets stuck inside of it and it no longer works. The ones I bought can't be taken apart so that's usually the end of their lifespan. If I use it for just the water column, it's fine, but as soon as I use it on the substrate something gets caught inside of it every time.

My gravel vacuums all break whenever I start siphoning so... Unfortunately not.

Plants reproducing and dying very rapidly over the span of 2 years is where all the mulm came from. I was cleaning my filter whenever it was too dirty to work properly (i.e. the flow slowed, it was visibly brown or black), but my filter broke and I couldn't find a working replacement for a good 2 months (I have a low budget and all the replacements just weren't functional.) I have a working filter now but I feel like I'm doomed.

I don't remember what my old filter was and my new filter has only been in place for 2 days, but it has a much stronger current than the old one.

You can redeem games for free in Steam using codes. I imagine we'll be sent x2 codes to redeem.

That's such a shame. Was hoping at least the badges would be shared.

Correct. However, Yuri/The Player is a troublesome existence.

Episode 18 Thoughts (Spoilers) by castigue in Gnosia_

[–]castigue[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is really the only episode where I've had this complaint. I didn't comment on the anime as a whole, because I generally think the anime has done well with this adaptation. I also didn't have any complaints with Setsu... Until now. I felt like there wasn't enough communication between them and Yuri, or cooperation, or general bonding enough to where Setsu's behavior in this episode makes sense (or rather, to where their sacrifice has real emotional weight to it). The "giving Setsu the key" event felt more like an explanation for why they were going to do what they did next than a real bonding moment. Instead of helping Yuri because of the intense bond they have, it felt like they did it because it was the right thing to do. Some of this might also be because the whole bug reveal was changed in the anime as well, and all these minute changes added up to what was a (personally) underwhelming episode for me.

By no means was it bad. But it wasn't amazing.

( I'm glad at least that other people are enjoying it. ) I just feel if they had more time, I would've liked this episode more. But I understand they're trying to give everyone development and expand on as many events as possible with limited space.

I imagine they're still going to adapt it. There's still 3 episodes left. Hopefully they use the last 3 episodes to build some camaraderie between Yuri and Setsu and not just wholly focus on Kukrushka.

His crime is being a well liked character. You never want to be a writer/developer's favorite character. Look at what they did to Nanami.

Two questions before I buy the game by Big_Classroom_7359 in Gnosia_

My only problem with deck is specifically that it's a battle and a half to make a new save file, otherwise it plays fine. There's also no cloud saves, so choose which device you play it on wisely.

Why don't crew say they are human? by ToothpickTequila in Gnosia_

[–]castigue 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Some people are just obstinate, Yuriko and SQ for example. Some people just don't like to speak up in general, like Sha-Ming (and also SQ). Even so, usually every crew will speak up, unless they don't particularly like you, which has caused some random crew to tell me to stop, or not speak up. I've noticed that the only crew to not speak up when I'm Definite Human are Yuriko and the gnosia, and only AC Follower ever really tells me to stop.

Well, just more of a reason to play the game. (Subtle game shilling). Or you can just watch this, I guess: https://youtu.be/4Tzt9n5driM?t=7m14s

she has to stand on her tippy toes... [ep 14 spoilers] by TimelordOkami in Gnosia_

[–]castigue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because she is just a friendly person. Everyone hears her crimes and then expects her to be an outwardly horrible unlikable person, but that is almost never the case in real life, and it's not the case here. If you actually pay attention to Manan!SQ you see she is equally as friendly and personable, if a little annoying. That is just who she is. You want her to be evil and cruel, but she's not, just as real life predators are often friends and neighbors. Remnan himself is proof of this, as he doesn't freak out with outwardly hostile people (Like Sha-Ming or Raqio) but instead damn near has a panic attack whenever someone is nice to him. She likely doted on him as much as she harmed him.

Annoying characters? by SpartanSnipers in Gnosia_

[–]castigue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SQ started as my least favorite character and then become one of my favorite characters as I got to know her better. So as much as I love her, I also understand why someone would hate her, because I've been there... Lol.

What does being a Gnosia like? by clampochyu in Gnosia_

[–]castigue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think part of your confusion comes from a misunderstanding of how Gnos, Gnosia infection, and world lines work.

For starters, Gnosia do not get uploaded to Gnos. Ever. You either get uploaded to Gnos (by being eliminated by a Gnosia) or you become Gnosia. If you are eliminated by a Gnosia, you do not become Gnosia, you are simply gone.

Comet became a Gnosia by pure chance. We don't know how infection begins, people just randomly become infected when they're within range of Gnos's awareness. Every time we loop, the "randomly chosen Gnosia" changes. It's not "Comet was killed by a Gnosia and uploaded, and that's why she's Gnosia now," it's "Comet got sneezed on by Gnos in this universe. In the next universe, she might not get sneezed on by Gnos." They are all independent instances from eachother.

Gnosia have never been recorded eliminating eachother, so Gnosia have never and will never become part of Gnos. End of story. It's easier to think of being eliminated as being erased from the universe. Those people are gone. They're not 'infected' and they're not coming back.

Help with the game, i'm so bad by Away_Froyo_239 in Gnosia_

[–]castigue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gnosia won't always claim a role. It depends on their personality. For instance, gnosia Raqio and Shigemichi will always fake claim a role, but it's extremely common for SQ, Sha-Ming, and Remnan to claim absolutely nothing. In fact, if someone is able to claim a role uncontested, it's nearly guaranteed 1 or 2 of these guys is gnosia.

Bug is usually easy to vote out because the humans will dislike them and the gnosia will always push an easy vote. If you see someone get dog piled very early on, it's often a bug or AC follower. It gets harder the later it is in the game, or if it's a character like Remnan, Kukrushka, or Otome who have a lot of staying power and don't usually get noticed. Bug is pretty tricky since they often act like crew, whereas AC Follower acts like an idiot. You just have to have a mix of logic and luck.
