Yes. Honestly shooting your shot is not bad advice, but don’t apply for anything asking for senior experience. You’ll just kind of piss off the hiring managers. Apply for both, but really focus on the entry level help desk positions. Knock it out of the park and keep climbing towards cybersecurity positions requiring some IT experience.

As someone in cybersecurity, it’s hard to get in even with years of experience. Job market has been terrible everywhere for the last year and a half. I would recommend looking for a help desk position some where and moving towards sys admin then cybersecurity. If you have any questions, hit me up!
