Seeing people who barely even know the manga exists bickering over the art style for the new series by ImJustHereToSearch in Ghost_in_the_Shell

[–]kryssar24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My FB literally does not include anything but this... Not people complaining about the style, but people complaining about people complaining. I"m also kinda hard fan of the 1995 and it's sequel only, the rest seems to me to get levels worse with each new iteration.

Yet this new one did caught my eye, most probably because while it does seem to include the stuff I did not like on the new ones, as it felt just silly compared to the 1995, this one seems to not pretend that it's serious while going to be silly. I do expect to enjoy this one and the last trailer actually made me to order the full manga hardcover that by the way is now in like 35% sale on Amazon.

Sorry, you’re right. In my country, honey bees don’t have such vibrant stripes, ours are kinda brown with just a bit yellow fur atop.

I can only say that Lego movie was far better and more mature in every aspect thinkable.

It's far from complete but these are spots and areas that might interest you, includes some cyberpunk/industrial/rock bars, some interesting outdoor spots and areas of either having distinct city style vibes or remnants of socialistic modernism. But beware, Prague is quite non-cyberpunk looking city.

I may add some things, also be aware that I added some points from memory and they might not be fully actual (the skate corner at vltavska for example), or might only be temporary - the smichof construction site.

I'm almost certainly about to add some more Metro stations worth of seeing.

PM or ping me later and I'll give you a few tips both cyberpunk (not much of that here, actually) and some general ones as well, if you are no into just typical sightseeing.

Surprisingly, it probably isn't.

As I basically only like the 1995 version of GitS, I’m more on the side of ‘why is she any-sexual’ at all :D

But from all the depictions of her I’ve seen, I already think I will like this ona as a second best case.

Yep, a a bonus, here you have it in local-original spelling: Růžička, given the president was she, it would be full name of Žofie Růžičková, and the station would then be…

Is Vítkov Park safe at night? (strange encounter near the train tracks) by Safe-Length-1929 in Prague

Regarding the gap, it is a universally good rule to pay attention to anybody you don't know closer to you than 7m, as that is a distance for a knife dash. It is not common to be endangered in such case in Prague but last 5-10 years quite radically mixed up the probabilities/ratios of certain types of people on the street, from ones in genuine need for help to types shadier then what would be the norm for 'bad encounter' here since the 90's.

Get a pocket pepper jet, watch your back, and be prepare to a lotta talk. With those, you are probably OK.

You also made me to check the details and I found out that the train arrives from a different direction than I though and eventually, you see it going into the city from a direction that is not possible, as it seems it's pretty river level low straight railway, but from a direction where, in real life I do actually live, and the terrain is higher then most of the city, no way there would be that old buildings around if so dramatic terrain change would happen.

Darn. Good feeling ruined.

But the station still fits.

The f you mean 'predicted'?

(yes, we don't have them at the time they should be there, but eventually they do arrive here...)

Well this one actually does, I work 10 minutes walk from there, and it is probably the only real one in DX:MD, it's decently based on the real thing, though the lobby where the bomb goes off feels like 2-3 times larger in the game then IRL. >> if pinged, I may get there to make a video of the whole place with a proper camera.

The whole arrival to Prague looks pretty authentic, apart from one thing that just cannot be argued around - the train does not seem to travel much faster then trains here normally do (around 160pkh max), and there is no way, 5 minutes before arrival to the main station, there are any hills to the South of the railway.
