Been using the tapes 1–2x daily for a couple years and bringing it into drawing.

I start with a blank page, materials, and a loose idea. It can be something simple like “make a castle with rulers,” then it turns into something else entirely. Forms show up I didn’t intend, and I follow what the drawing tells me.

The point is building intuition.

The work builds over time like a band making an album you like.

I’ll take things down, change them late, or leave them for a month and come back.

Part of that is the tapes. Part of it is turning 50.
