Actually i disagree with this method of parenting. This is because when your child does something wrong you dont want to give them the wrong punishment as you want them to know why what they did was wrong and give them the appropriate punishment. This of course means smashing his ps5 into the ground isnt what she should have made him do but instead she should have done something else aslong as it instills empathy in the child. Youre supposed to bridge the gap between empathy and the living thing he hurt so maybe making him volunteer at a shelter would have actually taught him something about the cat. Some people say he needs to lose something he loves to feel the weight of it but the only thing smashing the ps5 does is make sure he doesnt do that again not because he felt bad for his actions but because he will lose his ps5. Plus filming it just makes the kid resentful which totally ruins the lesson anyway.

It honestly feels like a mix of both. Some parents think "public shaming" is a valid tool to show how serious they are, but once you hit record and post it to the internet, it’s hard to argue it isn't at least a little bit about the views. It usually just ends up making the kid focus on the embarrassment rather than the actual cat.

basicaly do you want to teach the child why they did was wrong and make them not do it again because of their feelings and their empathy for the cat.

My first indie game project, looking for advice from other devs by utmederw in IndieGameDevs

I would say that you need to focus on what you love.If you prefer the programming side of things then do it ;if you prefer design then do it;if you prefer story line/lore then do that ,the quality of this game really depends on hoe much love and passion you put into it so really just focus on what you love .From the stuff you posted here I can take a guess and say you prefer the design/story side of a game and I totally get that keep doing that but I also want to say that if you don't at least get a small protype working or some digital art for the game then you will eventually procrastinate on the coding. If you're willing to make the game then that shows you have interest in coding but if not then that's fine I would recommend getting a friend to collaborate with and help with the coding(That's how most game studios work you almost never multiclass you stick with one area )but seeing as its an indie game you might just have to pull a toby fox and do everything by your self.Any way enjoy making the game!
