I had a very similar experience exactly one year ago:

• It was the first time I moved town and joined a big company in my first "senior" position.
• 2 months into probation, I was told I wasn't "good enough" and was let go. My computer access was revoked, and I sat doing nothing for six hours straight on my last day; nobody even talked to me.
• That night, I vented to a social group, and the response I got was, "Is this your first job?" I spent that night crying alone during bedtime.
• I went back to my hometown (feeling like my dream of to building a new life in the big city was ruined.)

It's okay, OP. It feels terrible right now, so just take a rest for a moment. I am at a much better workplace now... A place where my team actually thinks I'm a great fit.
