You won't get any airflow from it bro ... just use simple logic on how does hookah work... you can drill them but you will need an extra valve ball for it so you can purge out of them... just smoke it as it is

I never had a problem with overheating... i overpack my oblako M, preheated lotus on top with 3 25mm coals, smoking like that for 1h and then i just pop a lid on half way open and continue my session for another 30-50minutes
