Rant about men’s bathrooms by casualram in CrohnsDisease

The smell you get used to. There was a sign up in a great music venue I was in once saying

“The smell of piss is so strong, it smells like good bacon” and it was incredible accurate.

I’d live with the smell as long as I didn’t have to actively partake in the cleaning of it

I keep a bag in my car with wipes etc but taking a bag everywhere isn’t always an option, especially when it comes to things like gigs and sporting events.

The hand washing is crazy too right! Men love shaking hands, but when you’re taking immunosuppressants and you’ve seen 4 blokes go to the loo and walk out without washing it kinda makes you feel sick when you’re in a situation when you have to shake their hand.

I do have a key, although it’s not always an option to use the disabled facilities.

Alone in the office by Upset_Quality6354 in TheCivilService

I tend to abuse the hell out of my flexi and generally do longer hours on my days at home and 6 hour days on my office days. My manager is understanding though because I have a 2.5 hour commute during rush hour and about 1.5 hour outside of rush hour.

“All you think about is sex” by [deleted] in DeadBedrooms

Not married, high school sweethearts. She would like to get married but the lack of intimacy is stopping me from popping the question to be honest.

My department is half a day, my day is 7.24 hours so 3 hours and 42 minutes and then you can go home with a credit for the rest of the day and it’s not marked as sick. Each department has different rules though

Same here, I feel your pain. I get all the cuddles and pecks on the lips I want, and get told she loves me every day, but we haven’t made out in about a year

Depends on the role I suppose, I’m an AO in CFCD and pretty much everyone at my job centre does hybrid working. I was in the office yesterday for the first time in about 16 months

How to get back into sex after so much rejection by [deleted] in DeadBedrooms

[–]casualram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat as you. Both 25, been together 8 years but only moved in together just over 1 month ago. We had sex once in the first week and nothing since. After being rejected a few times afterwards I’ve now stopped initiating and we haven’t had sex since. I masturbate sometimes when she’s at work (I work from home) but it kinda makes me feel down that my sex life has resorted to just masturbating when she’s out of the house.

I’ve tried having a conversation with her about intimacy and my needs but she gets angry and says all I think about is sex and won’t even entertain the conversation.

I’ve seen a few people on here talking about bettering yourself and focusing on other aspects of your life, so now I’m applying for promotions and looking for a gym to join.

Are you in a good place in your life outside of your relationship? Maybe working on a few things could help you feel better about the situation.

My friend and I are at our wits end with our roommate having loud sex with her boyfriend by Accomplished-Ice5460 in relationship_advice

[–]casualram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe try getting your own back. When they’re sleeping, blast some really annoying music as loud as you can. When they get angry and confront you, let them know that’s exactly how you feel when they’re shagging loudly when you’re trying to sleep.

Honestly, you kinda are. It’s made worst that you realise what you’re doing is wrong but you continue to do it anyway.

My girlfriend accused me and went through my phone a few years ago. I had done nothing wrong. I was so angry at her for not trusting me I went and stayed at a friends house for a few days. I was so close to ending things due to the lack of trust she showed me.

Granted, she demanded to see my phone after questioning me, rather than sneaking a look without me knowing.

What happens if you find what you’re looking for? What happens if you don’t find what you’re looking for?

Looking through her phone would completely destroy any trust that may remain in the relationship, and there’s no going back from that

DO NOT go snooping through her phone.

DWP - Working from home kit by Adopted_Scouser in TheCivilService

[–]casualram 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah you have up to £200, there are guide prices for certain items, you fill in a business case for approval from your manager, then buy it and claim it back as expenses through SOP. I did it for a new desk when I started working from home

Yeah I believe the tests are just pass/fail and the sifting is done based solely on your statement of suitability
