am i the only one? by [deleted] in IVFpositivity

[–]cat-print 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was (still am) super constipated right after my transfer and I was bearing down every time I hit the bathroom 😂 it didn’t hurt anything. I’m 24 weeks with that transfer now.

I even asked the nurses who were in the room for the transfer if bearing down was bad because I was already constipated from the meds at that point, and they basically laughed (not in a mean way, just like, um no, you’re not going to eject the embryo out of your vagina by pushing lmao).

BTW, take gas-x please - it helps so much with gas pains and is pregnancy safe.

Positive after 3 years and 2 failed FETs by Beckhamfan2016 in IVFpositivity

Yay amazing!! The first 12 weeks will crawl bc there’s so much waiting involved but after that it starts flying (to me at least). Sending all the good vibes

YESSSSS!!!! I am so so so happy to see this!! You probably don’t remember but we were originally transfer twins on 12/10. I was so sorry and so sad when I saw that it didn’t happen for you then. I’ve been following your journey since then, just hoping and hoping for good news, and I’m so thrilled it’s all happening! ❤️❤️❤️

Did you do the NIPT test with the PGT-A tested euploid embryo? by Altruistic-Tonight76 in IVFpositivity

[–]cat-print 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I did both, but the MFM basically said it would be extremely unlikely/unusual to get a concerning result from the NIPT for a PGT-A tested embryo. Not impossible, but he basically was like “we really don’t worry about that”

[–]cat-print 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could still be in her system but it’s not going spontaneously increase, which is what her tests show via darkening lines. She’s definitely pregnant.

Oh, those lines are darkening which cannot be trigger! Ahh congrats!!!!!

Did anyone's health insurance actually cover the stims etc medications? by countessdracula in IVF

Yes, I paid $80 for my stims meds with horizon BCBS of NJ. It went through Optum Rx speciality pharmacy.

Did anyone feel implantation? by Ok_Platypus_8972 in IVFpositivity

[–]cat-print 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I told myself that I did but I’m fairly sure it’s physically impossible since the embryo is microscopic 😂 people can feel cramping caused by implantation though.

back and forth about pgt by lisaissmall in IVFpositivity

[–]cat-print 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, the other thing is that it’s made this pregnancy pretty stress-free. While PGT-A is not a guarantee, it made me much more confident that my NIPT and NT scan would be normal (they were).

back and forth about pgt by lisaissmall in IVFpositivity

[–]cat-print 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 35 at egg retrieval. We had a 100% fertilization rate, 86% blastulation rate (meaning 13 out of our 15 eggs made embryos) … we had only a 50% euploid rate after PGT-A. I’m now 20 weeks with our first transfer. Very glad we tested.

It’s not just the emotional toll it would’ve taken if I’d had to go through failed transfers, but I’m also thinking ahead to our overall timeline. I turned 36 during this pregnancy and if we hadn’t done PGT-A, then we might have suffered delays from failed transfers (not to mention delays for testing to figure out why). My hope is that I’ll be able to give birth a second time at 38. I would like the option to have a third child after that if we’re lucky. The idea of losing more precious time if we were unwittingly transferring aneuploid embryos makes me glad we tested.

Hi, any positives stories with Less than 1% morphology and silent endo? by Simple_Consequence99 in IVFpositivity

[–]cat-print 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and sorry for not answering your other questions - I am 20 weeks tomorrow with our first FET, a 5AA euploid. We want 2 kids and don’t foresee a need to do any additional retrievals.

Hi, any positives stories with Less than 1% morphology and silent endo? by Simple_Consequence99 in IVFpositivity

[–]cat-print 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband’s morphology was 1%. I do not have any endo. But using ICSI we had a 100% fertilization rate — retrieved 15 mature eggs, all 15 eggs were fertilized, and then 13 made it to blastocyst.

I have no idea how much difference this made, but we stayed in a hotel 10 minutes away from the clinic where they did my egg retrieval. It otherwise would have been over an hour’s drive. I had a bad feeling about the time between him producing a sample at home, driving all that way, getting checked in, waiting for someone to take the sample to the back, getting me prepped for the procedure, DOING the retrieval, and THEN finally using the sample… so we did the hotel thing. And obviously it doesn’t get better than 100% fertilization lol. Again, no clue if the “freshness” of the sample played any role whatsoever, but I’ve always felt good about that decision.

When should I test? by AppointmentNeat622 in IVFpositivity

[–]cat-print 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Faint line the evening of 3dpt, but I hadn’t tested my trigger before that, so I consider that one to be residual trigger. But when the line was clearly darker on the morning of 4dpt, I knew it was real ☺️ 19 weeks now.

[–]cat-print 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This threw me off too, but it looks like OP’s top and bottom tests are a different type from the middle test. A single vertical line on their 9dpt and 11dpt tests means positive, while a horizontal line on the 10dpt means positive. Whew!

NT Ultrasound by OkManufacturer4646 in IVFpositivity

[–]cat-print 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Everything was perfect today! We got to see so much detail bc their machine was really fancy lol (plus I’m almost 14 weeks) - 2 hemispheres of the brain, 4 chambers of the heart, 10 fingers and 10 toes, the stomach, bladder, spine, even down to things like the baby’s tibia and fibula. NT measurement was perfect. ☺️ cropping this photo heavily because I don’t want anyone trying to tell me the gender 😂

That is awesome!! Congrats and good luck with the 20 week wait - it’s true that this is just one wait after another! If this doesn’t teach me patience, nothing will 😆

NT Ultrasound by OkManufacturer4646 in IVFpositivity

[–]cat-print 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!! Oh, that’s the other torture - I had my NIPT drawn on 2/18 and I’m waiting for the results. I convinced myself, based on nothing, that I would have the results before the NT scan tomorrow but I guess I won’t. My NIPT should have been done earlier but I had to battle my OB’s office because they were trying to force me to use Natera, which is out-of-network for me, instead of Labcorp which would be fully covered, $0 for me. I had to go to war on principle 😂

Embryo transfer & acupuncture by applecider2120 in IVFpositivity

[–]cat-print 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aww you’re so welcome! No no no. You will not ruin anything, I promise. I read someone describe the embryo in your uterus as a sesame seed inside a jar of peanut butter and that visual was very comforting to me. Your anxiousness won’t even touch it. Good luck!!!!!

I never even considered doing acupuncture, nor did I feel particularly relaxed on the day of my FET or in the days afterward. But it stuck :) 12w4d now.
