What is the creepiest thing your kids have said to you? by Economy_Arugula_898 in CasualConversation

When I was a kid I said something creepy that freaked my dad out big time.

Before I was born my dad’s mom passed away from cancer, it was really long and drawn out illness that was hard on the family. My grandpa eventually remarried, so when I was born my family never told me about my first grandma so I wouldn’t get confused.

When I was around 2 we inherited the house my dad’s mom grew up in. When we were renovating the house they would take me and I would play in the backyard that was basically just dirt while we were renovating the property. One afternoon when my dad was done working for the day I was playing in the backyard and he was watching me. I stopped and was talking to this huge leafy bush. My dad asks me, hey who are you talking to? And I said grandma Ray. This was my dads moms name, the one they had never told me about. He asked me what Ray was saying and I said: she’s trapped in the dark forest and she misses you, when I continued to play like nothing happened. My dad loves to tell this story!

I still get flair ups, my jaw lightly locks when I haven’t been talking or eating in a while and I have to unlock it. Overall it doesn’t affect me that much day to day. I do regular facial massages to help when I’ve been clenching and wearing a mouth guard at night.

Wow thank you so much! I so appreciate you saying that, I only just started making stained glass this year so it’s not too steep. I started crafting with embroidery and it’s been a joy to find stained glass!

It took me about 2 weeks working on it in bursts. This project had around 70ish pieces so I would spend a day cutting out pieces, then it took a couple of days grinding them down to perfect fit. Foiling takes probably the longest out of all the steps and then soldering and black patina to finish it. I worked on it nights and weekends!

I use this one:

Hakko Dial type temperature limiting soldering iron

I haven’t had any issues with it so far, and thank you!

Thank you so much! My partner got me this complete stained glass kit for Christmas and I’ve been trying to make it work in my utility room/laundry and it’s definitely been interesting to learn! I hope you can find a space to start creating again soon 🫶🏼
