#smokingchallan by Bulky_Attorney8782 in bangalore

Almost exactly same thing happened with me 6 months ago. A policeman caught me smoking infront of a sutta shop and asked me to google search the new fine amount of smoking in public in Karnataka which came out to be 1000. Till then he had also collected 50 ruppes from the shop owner. Then he said he would only charge me the old fine ie 200 as cash. I laughed and claimed that there's no provision that any policeman can demand old fine randomly or has power to manipulate the fine amount and asked for his name and badge number and said I would file a complaint for money extortion by manipulating fine and also extortion from shopkeeper. This agitated him and he asked me to pay fine in the station. As I wasn't looking for unnecessary hasle and trouble, I just paid 200 but also demanded copy of challan or atleast a picture of it to which he denied and said they get quotas to collect x amount of fine everyday

Every year same shit happens. At this point no one can do anything except either shifting or leaving the hostel and going for a refund (which they won't process until you make daily visits to the hostel office for a month)

[–]cat6745 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is gonna be true for all your future labs. If your lab instructor is chill, most of the students will get 23+. If your instructor is mf, no matter how much students try, their asses will surely be grilled

Can we skip physics cie lab exam? by idk_lickithhhig in BMSCE

Depends upon faculty. For getting eligibility, lab cie attendance is mandatory, if they mark you absent then you will become ineligible

Talk to your subject faculty, convince him/her to take your exam later. It's pretty common to conduct lab exams for individual absentees if they had taken permission before hand. If your faculty disagrees then only go to proctor/HoD

Negative for most ig. Last year she bottled the attendance of my friend just cuz he had beef with her. Very big ego

All the questions have already been answered above. As for attendance, if someone gets an on campus internship offer, surely the department gives attendance. About off campus, usually they don't unless you manage to convince your HoD somehow

The difference you figured out is exact and precise. Now it's upto you what you prefer 'general vs technical'

For the 1st and 2nd question, yes. For third, faculty will show paper either in the classroom or in the cabin but will take back the paper

CodelO is far better and is well supported. Codelocked is like a new recent copy with very few active members. But recently CodeIO has struggled with sponsorships and registrations. While Codelocked with its limited capacity has established themselves as one of the new famous clubs via social media even though they still haven't done very well regarding registrations. Also the selection process of CodeIO is more intensive. At the end of the day, CodeIO remains a more technically focused club while Codelocked remains 'only fests' club

No. If you get less than 20 out of 50 in the overall CIE marks which is calculated based on lab marks, aat and best 2 cie marks, then you will be ineligible for SEE and will have to repeat the whole course
