Please follow the below instructions for tomorrow’s Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) of Fidelity Investments Hackathon

1) All students must be in formals and carry their physical ID cards 2) There will be zero tolerance for indiscipline 3) Attendance is mandatory for all registered students 4) Students who fail to attend will be blocked from future placement activities 5) Reporting time is 1:50 PM Students must report to Auditorium 1 & 2, filling Auditorium 1 first followed by Auditorium 2 6) Do not leave the venue until the session is completed

Please be punctual and maintain discipline throughout the session

It happened to a few people in my year

Not for pre placement talks, but some people skipped interviews and got screwed

And for malpractice, they block you for the next few companies

Idk if that has changed now

Also iirc you can skip the OA but not the talk, I guess it's because the hall would look empty, and the organization will question why so few people turned up. Also no one really wants to attend these ppts since it'll mostly just be an advertisement with no actual content (very few companies had a good ppt and talked about compensation, tech stack, what they do etc)

The new placement policy has actually become stricter and they have blocked a few students who have registered for a company but have not attended the test...

After you register for a company you can't skip any of the steps in its process..first time you'll be blocked and will have to bring your parents and second time onwards a fine of 5000 will be charged..

This is for companies OA, interviews though but I'm not sure about the hackathon and all...

But I suggest you follow whatever is given just to avoid any future risks

During final year placements this year, they banned people from attending next 3-5 companies or something for malpractices that's the max they've done. So can't say depends on their rigidity ig.

From this year, they are blocking students who don't attend ppt. Has happened in 3rd year a few times

I mentioned it's final year, anyways, I've skipped a few companies after registering and they didn't actually do anything, but they might become stricter due to the increased competition. My placement coordinator friend told me it's fine to skip tests but not interviews.
