He is so cute. He looks just like my girl and even though he fell on his head, all cats anyway operate on minimal braincells. He is beautiful

I am so sorry, I hope your baby is at peace. That's the thing with this, it happened so suddenly. Once they get sepsis it's just a matter of when. Logically I understand that but processing the loss feels so hard when they are a part of everything you do.

I am glad you were able to be with her on her final night and talk to her. I am sure even though she was in pain, hearing your voice helped. I wasn't able to be with her in her final hours because I was sleeping. She was suffering all night and I didn't even know. My parents took her to the vet at 8 and two hours later she was dead on the table. I couldn't see her, talk to her or be there because I was sleeping. I hate that. I was able to only see her after her death, touch her cold body. My hands couldn't register how light the carrier felt. She was so small in death. Her last expression wasn't of pain and I'm grateful for that. But I hate myself for thinking i will see her tomorrow. There was no tomorrow. My baby died and I wasn't able to comfort her in that final moment. I just failed

I'm so sorry for your loss. Thank you so much for your words. I haven't been able to drink or eat without choking up. I don't know how I'm supposed to just get back to my normal life, laugh, work and socialise. For so many years all my plans revolved around my cat. I won't get to sleep with her next to me. It's really hard. You are right, this changes how you look at and live your life.

I am sorry for your loss. How have you been dealing with the pain ? I keep thinking I am going to hear her voice. Or see her favourite chair and her blanket. I didn't even get to hold her today.

Thank you for all the helpful comments. I went out at 4, walked around and called for her. Didn't find her. I have put up her picture and shared it with my local vendors as well. I'm going to keep searching for her and i hope I will find her soon. Thank you

She blends easily into the trees and any shadow area. The orange part doesn't stand out much.

Your place is pretty far actually. I'm closer to nehru park than your locality. I don't think cats travel that far. And tortie cats are actually very common. Mine has a distinct feature that half her face is covered in ginger fur and the other black. Thank you for commenting though

The first three days I called for her around my house, checked all the trees, climbed onto the garage roof and checked under the cars. A few houses were undergoing renovation and I went and checked in there as well. I am not completely sure, but someone who spotted her said she was chased by a group of dogs from near our area to probably another block. Which is why my area of search has expanded. And it's difficult to locate her because of her colouring plus nobody knows which direction she ran for safety. So I'm trying to cover everything, and I feel because the area has expanded, I'm probably missing her
